As someone who likes Raimi's Spidey movies but also purely views them as jokes the first one ending with Nickelback feels like a hilarious punchline. It's such a dumb, cheesy, earnest song. Totally fits the dumb silly movie.
I feel the same about Nickelback as everyone else does but if Gunn had the balls for a Nickelback needledrop I would take back everything negative I've said about this whole DCU thing.
Enjoying his work on the show so far but Beau "Bottoms are disease receptacles" DeMayo continuing to comment on the show after he was fired from it like nothing happened is really funny. Nothing wrong with it, per se, he still wrote it and we don't know why he was fired. It's just amusing.
I genuinely suspect all it is is that Snyder is a name heavily associated with director's cuts as a concept and therefore they thought it would be a Marketable Hook.
