Fear the Walking Dead Fear the Walking Dead General Discussion Thread - Part 1

Mid-season premiere tonight.

Mid-season premiere tonight.

Thanks, I didn't even know it would be back already... I think this is the shortest mid-season break they've ever had. I haven't seen it yet, but people really seem to to hate the premiere.

Are the ratings any good though? Nobody is talking about FTWD on here anymore, and I'm also losing interest. I actually quit watching, but binged the first half of the current season later on since I didn't have anything else to do

The ratings keep dropping, but that's been the norm for FTWD since the first season with exception of the Season 4 premiere which had TWD for a lead-in. The mid-season premiere had 1.4 million viewers. It's still one of AMC's most watched shows and already renewed for a sixth season.

I thought this past episode was one of this seasons best.

So now Morgan's fate is basically left up in the air.

Gimple and AMC learned from the previous backlash to cliffhangers. This won't affect the ratings at all. :o

The showrunners are awful and write every character like Morgan. It's like the characters are in a cult and Morgan is the leader. Every line of dialogue seems like it's about "helping" people. tThe characters are now shells of their former selves. This season kept getting worse as it went on and I pretty much hated it.

Speaking of, was it ever explained what happened to Alicia and why she gave up killing walkers and people in general? All she ever did this season was paint trees and pretend like she was in la la land.

It was so vague like most character motivations on this show, but I think it was because she thought she was dying from the radioactive walker blood??? The writers couldn't resist putting in that fake out.

Also, it was weird how Alicia suddenly wasn't a main character anymore in the last couple of episodes. She was always one of the "leaders," but it seems like Dwight has replaced her in the group (probably because he's one of Gimple's guys) and now she's just in the background while Morgan and co. are off doing the important work....

hopefully that was all just temporary, but I wouldn't be surprised if Alicia, Strand, and/or Daniel are killed off next season so Gimple has a show with his "own" leads

Yeah, the season before this she seemed to replace Madison's role as leader

Further alienating the fans.

Oh my god... they decided to use some color this season!

Whoa... The season premiere was awesome. A spiritual sequel to "Clear" and "Here's Not Here."

I don't know what happened in the writers room, but this season is great so far.

I really liked these first 2 episodes. I wonder if it's because they didn't focus on all the "new" characters like Al and Dwight... Just the new and improved Morgan and mostly the original cast.

Last season almost made me quit watching the show, (it had some of the worst episodes ever in TWD universe) but now I'm glad I stuck with it.

6x03 was another great episode. Dwight and Al are a fun duo and that ending was really emotional.

Good. Been loving the season and Morgan being back on his murder bull****.
