Grab your air guitar and get ready to bang your head until you’ve got whiplash: Beavis and Butt-Head, the dopey, heavy-metal loving cartoon teenagers who were a staple of 1990s-era MTV, are returning to television, this time at Comedy Central.

Comedy Central said on Wednesday that it had ordered two seasons of a new “Beavis and Butt-Head” series, one that will be written, produced and voiced by Mike Judge, who created the original show.

They should have just continued the show as how it was. The new episodes from years back were pretty hilarious. Would be amusing to see them still as teens mocking current society

Maybe they're actually Todd's kids...

I think it's fine to age the characters up. Beavis and Butt-Head are so 90's, it felt a bit off to me when they had them watching shows like Teen Mom and Jersey Shore in the more recent episodes. It just doesn't seem like they would watch that. (Well maybe on their own, and then pretend they don't)

If you would make a new season with the characters as teens, it would probably be best to have it take place in the 90's. Kind of like what F is for Family is doing

That's a fan made video, but a well-made one, apart from the fact that the woman in the video said that "It's been almost two decades since your show first aired on MTV" when in actuality it's been almost three decades. ****, I'm getting old.

Mike Judge is making another Beavis & Butt-head movie that will sit alongside the Comedy Central series that was ordered last year. Beavis and Butt-head Do America hit theaters back in 1996, during the original series’ MTV run. Judge is executive producer, creator and provides voice over for both iconic characters.

Oh of course; I’ve seen both of those movies multiple times. Judge has made so much content that, while maybe slightly underappreciated at the time, has eventually become iconic (like those two films and B&B).

It's kind of amazing how Judge's voice for both Beavis and Butthead hasn't changed at all in nearly three decades compared to someone like poor Julie Kavner whose voice sounds so strained now from voicing Marge Simpson for over 30 years.
