Coronavirus outbreak

I was just going to post that. Since he was asymptomatic, I suppose there's a scramble to test people he's been in contact with. This is the problem with not having timely results in the general population.

I saw the Lt. Gov. Jon Husted has tested negative.

Also there's gotta be some kind of genetic component or something in the way some people, even elderly people, are asymptomatic and would never have known they were positive without a test, and the way with other people, even some young healthy people, it ravages their entire body and every organ.

How are people in positions of power, who can take all the precautions still getting this? Sheer recklessness, stupidity? Also, he doesn't look like the healthiest person to be battling this virus.

Apparently he's asymptomatic so far.

As for how he got it, all it takes is one person around him, a staffer or whatever. Nobody is in a perfect hermetically sealed bubble, especially not a governor who's probably still around quite a few people on a regular basis.

Outside of his household, is there anyone he actually needs to be around physically? A driver I guess? There is no reason they couldn't socially distance at his place of work, and he has the advantage of his position. Never even needs to meet with anyone in his office. A lot of this is choices.

I don't know how careful he's been, but there is virtually no way to completely insulate yourself from catching the virus. It's all about lowering the probability of contracting it.

I went shopping yesterday, wore a mask, didn't touch my face, washed my hands when I got home, put away the food, and wiped down handles and counters. I could have contracted the virus.

Always have a sanitation station near your home entrance. A bottle of sanitizer, wipes, and Lysol spray. Even go as far as putting a small trash can for disposable masks and gloves or hamper for cotton ones.

Wow.....people were hospitalized (blind/died) for drinking hand sanitizers. CDC issues warning not to do so.

Frelling Darwin Awards.....

Simple.

A culture of noncompliance to the most common sense protocols that is up and down line in the GOP. Enough breaks in the defenses and something has a better chance to get through.

It just occurred to me that Trump may have stumbled on to an effective strategy to halt immigration. He just had to kill a couple hundred thousand people to carry it out.
That number feels optimistic at this point. Which is terrifying in and of itself.

Oh, I'm just talking about now (think under reporting). He's going to be #1 in deaths for, hopefully, a long, long time.

4 more years???
If he was president for 4 more years, even while the rest of the world got rid of COVID-19, we'd still have it the entire time.

Now Governor DeWine has taken a second test that came back negative.

But Alyssa Milano was just telling her story to Chris Cuomo about how she was sick as a dog in March-April, took two COVID-19 tests and one antibody test that all came back negative despite having textbook symptoms, then months later took another antibody test that came back positive and showed she was right all along.

So who the **** knows if DeWine is positive or negative.

Doesn't fill me with confidence re: tests.
