Personally I hope we get a prequel game like Arkham Origins. They could make it after the official Spider-man 2 using those assets. I think that would be interesting.

Preordered the game for PS4 earlier today so glad that’s taken care of. Now time to play the waiting game. Replaying the first game so that’ll ease the wait a little lol.

Especially with all the fun easter eggs they put into the backpacks with Pete's early equipment and souvenirs from the first time he fought some of the villains. Getting to actually play them out would be fun.

Lol a few hours ago I just got done collecting the backpacks and hearing those early years stories was great again. If they don’t go the prequel game route the could flesh out the games past in comic format. I never read them but I remember people loving the Arkham game comic tie-ins. I know they do already have a couple for Spidey PS4 but I also haven’t read those.

This is really stupid. They should offer some upgrade path to people who own the game. People shouldn't have to buy Miles Morales.

Can you buy the Control patch separately? You can't do that for this game. You need to buy a new game.

The free next-gen upgrade is only available in the Ultimate Edition of Control ($39.99).

So for those who own the original game on the current-gen consoles are shirt out of luck.

I will definitely not give Sony a pass. Spider-Man 2018 looks good and doesn't need a remaster and an upgrade but that is just pure greediness.

I'm already annoyed that Ps5 is as eXpensive as Series X which has more storage and power, and then I read, that ps4 Spider-Man won't get a free upgrade.... I'm stil getting a ps5 and I hope they will still win the console war this gen as I don't plan to get a Xbox Series X or S, but I hope the ps5 sales are visibly lower than the ps5 in the long run. Just to teach them a lesson for their greediness.

Ps5 with disc drive should have been 450 (take note I live in South East Asia so that means its probably 600 here because of taXes) and the ps5 upgrade should be free Xpecially lots of people just bought their goddamn ps4 just to play Spider-Man. I'm really pissed off by Sony. I trusted them. Microsoft should now buy Nintendo to really shake Sony's greedy boots.

Maybe I'm just misunderstanding.
You're upset about Spider-Man not getting a free PS5 upgrade, and the fact that the PS5 costs the same as the new X-Box? You want the PS5 to win the console war, but still underperform.

I guess I just find it a bit confusing. Why would we get a free PS5 upgrade for Spider-Man? The game is over two years old, it's not like it just came out.

All ps4 owners of GTA V are getting a free upgrade and that game is also coming out in ps5. GTA V is a game that came out in 2013!

The witcher 3 is being released to ps5 with an enhanced version and that upgrade is free for ps4 games.

Why would Sony give a free upgrade to Spider-Man? They won't because they're greedy.

And yes, I want themto win the consoles war next gen as I don't want abandon all the ps games I've bought in the last few years and for the other console to get more games that aren't accessible on Ps.

I'm tempted to leave getting Miles Morales Spider-man until I get a PS5, but I don't plan on getting a PS5 until much later. Between the trouble with pre-orders and the early PS4 having the constant ejection malfunction I think it's best to wait a while rather than buying the first one available.

Yeah is where I am at. I won’t be getting a PS5 for a little while so will be getting the PS4 version of MM.

I just pre-ordered it for PS4 and it should come with a free PS5 upgrade and/or backwards compatible anyway. At this point I might just wait for the PS5 until the actual sequel.
