The Mandalorian The Mandalorian: General Thread

thanks, what do you think of the 'title' ;) ?
I am for it! While I call the little guy Gizmo, Space Pikachu feels rather appropriate as well. :D

Now that another piece of Star Wars media is coming out, this is a warning to everyone. Because these forums have had a long, bad history.

I'm one of the mods here and am watching this forum. And I don't have patience for inflammatory arguments about Star Wars. Remember: You are on a super hero hype forum and are talking about a fictional universe. Chill out and be CIVIL.

How about this: You complain about people getting worked up from a Twitter post, you think you would follow your own advice to not do this in a Super Hero Message Board in a Star Wars Forum and manage to get off topic. Learn to follow your own advice.

Learn to express your views better and debate without being a jerk too. If you don't take that advice, you'll get an infraction.

If there was anything I said that deserved an infraction, I have no problem receiving one. I just thought I was replying to something someone posted about. If you don't delete this post like my last one, I'll apologize to anybody who took offense. I'm not here to "work" anyone up.

As per my deleted post, I'm done on that topic and I'd like to get back to continuing to discuss the show, please.Thanks.

I know I am late to the party but I finished season 1 last night omg I LOVED it the nice blend of action, humor and emotion a great season finale.

PS I just had to make a child avatar he he

Welcome to the party, and that’s an amazing Avatar, loved that moment.

The teaser trailer for season 2 was hot buttered sauce! Love the look of the Speederbike sequence and the shot of the X-Wing's chasing the Razor Crest through the clouds. I wonder if the snow planet Mando and baby Yoda are on is Ilum. :thf:

A great teaser that did just that, still so many characters to be seen for this season! :mrk:

Do you hear yourself? She made a "Dangerous posts" about a pandemic? Then, she "liked" someones post. If that isn't the dumbest thing to get mad at a person for, maybe people should take an honest look at themselves on my that would offend them.

You could live your life to the fullest and be happy and not pay her no mind but nope, people want to take offense about this random B-list celebrity's Twitter profile? Sounds like these people are just losers with nothing better to do with their time. It's no wonder so many people cry about having poor mental health issues today. Just look at how easy something can control their emotions. I don't feel bad for those kind of people.
Well said!!!

I was hoping for a Boba/Ahsoka tease in the trailer. But mannnn, I'm still so hyped for this!

I feel the same way but looking at how many special guests there’ll be this season, it makes sense to make it focus on Din and the Child on this first trailer. It’s probably why it just looks like them two traveling and no sense of what’s in store except for the brief overview by the Armorer.

I expect a second trailer with more fan service the week or two before the season starts.

That makes sense. Even if we don't get another trailer, not much long of a wait at this point in time!

Right. A second trailer would just be icing on the cake and I’m only assuming there’ll be one because I’m sure Disney wants to really sell this show to new subscribers.

They already have us locked in and I’m sure they’re going to try to compensate for not having the Marvel shows ready, as they originally anticipated. But who really knows.

I'm kinda glad it's a one episode a week release. Because the way the internet works these days, as soon as a whole Netflix series drops, you can get spoiled the day after its release.
I enjoy the weekly release schedule for three main reasons. First, because it extended the length of the season, and thus makes the wait for the next a bit shorter. Second because it makes watching the show no longer a race. Third and most importantly, I really enjoy the discourse that happens around each episode. You get a lot of talk about each individual episode, while also getting a nice bit of speculation on what's next. Stranger Things is one of my favorite things, but it does kind of suck that it feels like the major discussion around it is over after one weekend, every 18 months. Not so with the Mando.

I couldn't agree more when it comes to the "weekly discussion" thing. I don't care if it makes us sound old-fashioned, that definitely has value when it comes to the cultural experience of it. Also, I'm personally not that into binge-watching and would space it out even if it was all available at once. So it works out for me personally.

This place is a nice little stand in for a water cooler. :D

I remember all the speculation last year, both here and other places and it just got me excited for every episode. When you get the little, "next week" things and stills for individual episodes, it really does add to the experience. Also led me to watching every episode multiple times.

When it comes to binging I am not so big on it as I use to be. I will do it on occasion (Stranger Things is a one I will do if I can), and with Umbrella Academy I had no choice, my best friend was determined to watch it all in one day, though I really enjoyed that so nothing to complain about. But yeah, a slower pace is nice and I do like when it's kind of enforced.
