Shazam Black Adam spin off with The Rock

I'd love to get the sort of weekend homework that Aldis Hodge gets:

When the film comes out, and later the solo film as well, the world will see that Hawkman has always been one of the most awesome DC superheroes. I mean, his thing is really "out there", an archeologist dons a helmet, wings and a maze, gets superpowers, fight villains.
Reincarnation and old egypt, and also the cosmic angle too. It's epic, and it can definately work for a blockbuster. It will be so cool

One may think he won't transfer well to live action because of his outfit. (previous attempts didn't live up to his potential).
But the same could be said about Captain America, Wonder Wonder and Aquaman (it was especially an argument against the water hero). But look at the result :)

Leaving aside everything else...Johns on JSA and Hawkman is some of the best stuff out there for the time period.

Has anyone tuned into the guys who wrote the recent draft? Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani? They have a show on Prime called Informer that's pretty interesting (so far).

Cleverly written: emotional, genuinely humorous, narratively dense. It's about the relationship between a cop and their informant. An event ties a bunch of people together. The lead is Pakistani and he gets arrested after a noble deed, bumps into a dude in jail and befriends him. The cops think he knows something because that dude is a drug dealer. The story goes from there.

It's dope and it gets me more excited beyond just the design and visuals of this film. Sher also has me excited. He can do intimate and epic and if this story is as emotional as it can be, then that's a good mixture. He did say he wanted to do something unlike anything else for this film visually, or something of that nature, but idk what that could mean. Lol

Black Adam adds Cyclone to the cast. No idea of this character or the actress, but I do like the slow drip feed of getting additions for this film. Not sarcasm when I say that, but mostly because I like the slow building up of getting the JSA in this film.

'Black Adam' Finds Its Cyclone with 'Trinkets' Star Quintessa Swindell (Exclusive) | Hollywood Reporter

The Justice Society in New Line and Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam movie is getting hit by a twister.

Quintessa Swindell, one of the stars of Netflix’s Trinkets, has nabbed the whirlwind role of DC hero Cyclone in the action-adventure thriller featuring the DC Comics anti-hero starring Johnson.

Cyclone is a fun character in the old JSA comics. I dont remember specifics but I remember she was very popular back when Johns was writing it.

Well the red head tradition continues lol.

I feel like Cyclone was the original M'Gann in terms of peppy personality. Dont really know the actress but im here for the casting

I hope they still go with red hair.

Having Dr Fate in live action is the 'biggest' sell for this film, for me.

This begins shooting soon-ish, yeah? Curious to know when they drop the first pic/video of The Rock in-costume.

Late? I thought this was due to begin filming in the next few months...

At the latest, I would think we’d see something for the next FanDome (because SDCC definitely ain’t happening this year).

This, Shazam, and Flash are supposed to shoot in the spring. it'd be dope if they filmed a little something with the Black Adam and Shazam cast for a post credits scene or something. Really start building that up. They're probably gonna release this in 2023 with Shazam 2. It could be a nice way to sell it all.

& I can imagine a costume test around the time they start shooting honestly. Especially since it's The Rock. He's already marketing tf out of this film.

I’m mainly curious how the film will handle the JSA. Did they exist in the past? Is the team in this film the next generation? How will they handle the OG JSA? Why doesn’t the world know about them?

If not in-person, I wager they'll try Comic-Con At Home again.

It would be a good way to introduce the new actor playing Superman.
