True, but Shazam wasn’t even in the cards back then. Good pick though. Maybe Seinfeld-era Patrick Warburton.

If not Cage, Fraser or Keanu Reeves were the pick for Supes back in the day—late 90s Lives era specifically.

An older Superman would be interesting for a reboot though. Do you think WB will skip the origin entirely and go for a 30-40s year old Superman?

They have a mid 30s supes already. But honestly they can skip the origin and give us a mid 20s supes.

Superman is right up there with Batman and Spider-Man in terms of origins that are so thoroughly soaked into our cultural consciousness that we don’t need to see it played out on-screen again anytime soon.

Agreed

It'd never happen and it's bordering on stunt casting, but with a little CGI and/or camera trickery, Judge Judy would make a pretty badass Granny Goodness. :funny:

Eddie worships at the altar of my greatness for setting him up like that.

My mother still watches it to this day. I myself only just got into the habit of putting it on as background noise while I attend to other things. I actually really like her. :funny: She's a tough, no-nonsense SOB.

We won't get the origin again I'm sure of it. TASM got a lot of criticism for showing the origin when it was fresh in people's heads and like the Spidey & Batman origin everyone who would watch super hero films has seen it.

Curious to see if it'll ignore everything that's come before or keep some things but mostly ignore the past like with Suicide Squad.

I love the origin of Superman, I would be bummed to not get at least not another Origin story Superman film. Im all for a pulpy standalone no origin also but I feel there has been a lot left out of a good Superman origin story that could really work.

I love Superman’s origin but it’s been done to death at this point.

The only reason I’d want to see anything taking place before Clark’s time in Metropolis is if they decided to use Clark and Lex’s boyhood friendship in Smallville (and considering their ages, I think it was a missed opportunity not to do that with Cavill and Eisenberg, but... there were a lot of missed opportunities with that Lex).

Otherwise...

I hate it when Clark and Lex grow up together. So glad they didn't do that in BVS.

Not that it saved the film or anything, but still.

I've never cared for that angle, either. It's my one real quibble with Birthright (otherwise my favorite version of the origin).

Who is the actor?
As far as I've read, a pretty small time actor named Michael Doneger. He's just someone I saw in a movie tonight, basically thought, "he looks kinda Supermanny" and posted it, after looking for actresses in his age brackett.
