Cyberpunk 2077

Well if that date sticks, it'll be a 5-day long weekend for me since it's around my birthday and I haven't really taken any days off since the pandemic started and WFH.

By the way, some of the achievements have leaked and there's one titled "Breathtaking". :hehe:

haha nice. I also love that Dredd reference in one of them haha.

No surprises gameplay-wise. First-person Witcher 3. But vistas are pretty nice.

Yep, and that’s enough for me. (would have preferred third person sci-Fi Witcher 3 though lol).

Yeah, same. The Witcher 3 is the brightest gaming memory of the last decade. I hope it's another win for CDPR and for us gamers.

Looks like an awesome world and characters to dive into.

Tons of new info and impressions. Amazing trailers. This is gonna be great. And I'm not afraid of bugs. I lived through Troika Games masterpieces and the original Witcher 2 release. We will be fine. CDPR fixed their stuff in the past, and I hope it will be the same for CP77.

IMHO game publishers shouldn't even announce a release date for titles like this until they are a few months out and they have it locked down for certainty it will make that date.

I realize I'm not a CEO of a game company, but just saying, you can avoid all the controversy, naysaying and complaints and manage that better if you wait on the release date.

Sounds like Cyberpunk was never going to make 2020.

Its been working pretty well for Nintendo.

You know and Nintendo has had their fair share of blunders and mistakes going back decades. Lest we not forget it was Nintendo's actions that basically caused the birth of Sony PlayStation.

But lately, Nintendo seems to have mostly righted the ship with the Switch.

But people may have forgotten but the Wii when it first came out was the hot toy for the holiday season and THE game console to buy. People were going crazy over Wii Sports and the motion controls. However, the whole motion control thing didn't last that long.

Sure, but they have been doing what you have been talking about for the lifetime of the switch. Hell, the average time of announcement to release feels to be about 6 months.

Bethesda was doing that for a bit. Announcing something at E3, it hits before the next E3. Feels like the same for Capcom and Ubisoft, who having seemingly mostly announcing things that would arrive within a year.

Just watched released game-play & trailer releases for a game I knew was 'out there' but have not 'followed' as such, and it looks as close to playing Blade Runner as we are ever going to get. A sure-fire purchase for me.

Gonna be rewatching Blade Runner, Blade Runner 2049, and Mad Max Fury Road (for my Nomad playthrough) next week in celebration of the games release. Maybe Dredd too haha.

Since I'll probably play as a cyber-samurai, and apparently you can play factions against each other, I'll give Yojimbo a rewatch. :hehe:
