Eternals The Eternals General Disscussion and Speculation thread

He was more rumored for Thor L&T

I watched Nomadland. That will not the classic Marvel Formulare. And I am here up for this! <3

Don't get me wrong, I think Marvel Studios is spending the money so they should get final say, but I don't understand the desire of studios to interfere creatively during a production. The director pitched a movie and they liked the pitch. As long as the director is doing what they pitched, they should let the director do the thing they all agreed upon.

So, anyone know when we might get something from this film besides more blurry photos?

Well is not as easy as it sounds, sometimes what works great on paper doesn't work on screen and maybe sometimes the filmmakers are so deep in the project that they don't see it.
As a graphic designer myself I often feel like I'm doing a great job and I'm seeing everything looking good, until an outsider comes and points out something I missed and it helps make the design a bit better. At the end of the day, a movie it's still a collective work of art.

I am sure the marketing will ramp up once they know when they can definitively release it in cinemas.

I mean, nothing's stopping them from releasing it in cinemas as is. It, like any other released film, just won't make the money it probably would have pre-pandemic.

Of course there is something stopping them, cinemas are closed in most places here in the UK and Europe, they will wait until things are better to release it more than likely.

Marvel's Eternals Was Shot "Completely Differently" Than Other MCU Movies, Says Salma Hayek

Speaking with Variety, Hayek revealed that Eternals is shot completely differently from all the other Marvel movies, adding that Zhao was able to shoot on location for much of the film instead of using a soundstage with CG backgrounds:

"It has a completely different DNA from the [other Marvel movies]. It's shot different than all the other ones. It's in real locations and they found some crazy extraterrestrial-looking locations. I don't know if I'm allowed to talk about what they do with the camera, but… it's not mostly done in post. The cinematography is incredible."

Thank god.

Everything about this sounds awesome - this is my most anticipated mcu project in 2021...not Spiderman 3

I wish we could just get a look at it. At least they’ve had heaps of time to get the cgi right

Hmmm, I think this would be delayed to 2022. Unless Shang Chi is moved to 2022 and Eternals stay in November?

They all look great and that girl who’ll be Sprite looks spot on. First I was dissapointed, that it won’t be Millie Bobby Brown but now I think she wouldn’t have fitted anyway.

Interesting: Theena is excluded from this. Maybe in the end she works together with Kro because of that leaked secret
her and Kro having a deviant child: Thanos

I like getting a sense of the costumes, but that was so badly photoshopped I thought it was fake for a second.

So Madden as Ikarus is not getting the blonde hair and Prince Adam/ He-Man haircut? And where is Angelina Jolie in that picture?

Definitely looks photoshopped and fake.
