Havok does have direction. They are going more into his inversion and the fallout.
Catching back up.
Excalibur was fun. I like having the Braddock family as a whole back into focus. I like Meggan joining up with the team. I will miss Apocalypse, sure, but I think as long as Brian and Meggan stick around as main cast members, it will be a good Excalibur book.
New Mutants was good. Art is great. And man, Gabby's question really hurt. Good to see the Maddie decision having some fallout with regards to Gabby, Laura, and Evan. Though damn, did not realize Evan was dead. Also, did not realize that the Shadow King is kind of separate from Amahl Farouk. So, that could be interesting to see how that plays out.
Sword was great. I love the cast. And I love some of what they are doing. Kind of wish it was Unuscione instead of Armor as part of the six, for a full on Acolyte book. I do like the tension between the ruler of the Kree/Skrulls over the mutants' hatred of Wanda. I especially loved seeing the interaction between Cortez and Magneto. Fabien has grown very pathetic. Also, just started reading Inferno again, so fun to see Wiz Kid again.
And I love the new status quo X-men sets up. God, I want a book dealing with Arrakko dealing with returning to earth. And the reaction to Arrakko. Good to see Isca sticking with Arakko, instead of joining the family in Amenth. With so many of the cast of X of Swords being External, it will be fun to see mutants who have never seen a human before. So many great possibilities. Arrakko's reaction to Sentinels is going to be something... I also love Cyke and Jean fighting for keeping the X-men separate from a Krakoa military. And the idea of elections to the X-men is cool.
