MICHAEL KEATON RETURNS (or at least in discussion) AS BATMAN

The one thing we know about Michelle is that she has GREAT fondness for her Catwoman/Selina Kyle role. She is always happy to talk about it, joined instagram with a clip from the movie and even keeps her whip in her closet (as seen recently).

She has said repeatedly that she would reprise the role if given the chance. However, at 62, I'm not sure how serious she is or if she is really all that eager to get into a similar costume. Plus, it seem she has turned down some roles recently due to her not wanting to quarantine for weeks in hotels.

My gut instinct is that WB has NOT asked her to reprise her role in The Flash but depending on Keaton's future in the cowl, future Pfeiffer appearances may be possible. It would be a real shame to have Keaton back in the multiverse without Michelle making some kind of appearance.

She will be doing interviews for French Exit in the coming weeks, so hopefully she is asked about all this.

True. Well, if not in costume then what about a cameo of her as Selina? I see.

That would be messed up if they haven't. Hopefully. Definitely.

Hopefully.

You know I feel like the CW Crisis kind of laid some groundwork. The newspaper that said Bruce Wayne to marry Selina Kyle, and the red bat signal which seems originally it was a regular bat signal but for some reason they changed it to the red bat signal.

Now while the red bat signal was the Batwoman bat signal I can't help but wonder if it was used as a stand in for a Beyond bat signal?

I may sound like a pessimist here but I do fear of The Flash movie having to now compete with Captain Marvel 2, and then you have Disney/Marvel would already have used the Multiverse in their movies with a Spidey team up that's part of a Multiverse trilogy storyline.

I don't know I guess I just worry of a repeat of 2016.

Don't worry. DCU did it first by having Ezra Miller cameo in Arrowverse.
Him meeting Grant Gustin could perhaps be referred to in the upcoming Flashpoint.

I know but it still doesn't change my fears. Also doesn't The Batman have to compete with two MCU movies DS2 and Thor 4?

I guess all we can do is hope for the best.

You know even though I have my fears I think what could help make The Flash movie be different, stand out, etc. etc. would be giving Keaton an actually storyline with the right screen time than just bringing back for a cameo, nostalgia, action set props, etc. etc.

I mean as much as I am excited of the idea of Maguire and Garfield returning if they return as just cameos, nostalgia, action set props, etc. etc. then I feel like their returns would be a waste compare to Keaton and Affleck returns even though Affleck's return is probably a cameo.

I've heard that Keaton will be DCU's main Batman for some time, being both hero and mentor.
And I don't know how many times I've written just that in different posts here :D

So after finding out about a second Batman trilogy separated from Matt Reeves Batman's trilogy, I wonder if this one with be with Keaton? I mean THR did report that WB/DC wanted Keaton for something like that.

Who knows maybe the other three Batman movies will be like a Batman Beyond trilogy with Keaton as Old Man Bruce. :)

What are the chances for this guy to show up in the film?

Has Keaton been confirmed by WB yet? I'm worried the deal will fall through.

The last thing I remember was that interview maybe a couple of months ago, where he said he couldn't talk about it.

Didn't we see concept art at DC Fandome?

Yep, and they played Batman 89 theme with it.

Also before DC Fandome there was the Vanity Fair article with the director confirming Keaton, and Affleck, and for Batman Day the director posted a picture he drew of Batman, and tagged both Keaton and Affleck.

It's actually kind of funny that while Keaton won't really talk about it, WB/DC,the director, etc. etc.isn't really hiding it.

This brings a tear to my eye.

I just wish WB would release a press release announcing Keaton. But I suppose they are waiting until filming is properly in sight.

You wait 30 years for him to come back for another film, then...

Brooks Barnes from NYT gave an update on Keaton on Twitter, and said that he was referring to the *one film* that Keaton has been announced as being in, not a set of his own Batman films. If he had info on him beyond "The Flash," he would have obviously put it in his article.

Now I don't think that debunks Keaton's role beyond The Flash movie because for one, one of the major trades THR reported something about WB/DC wanting Keaton for a mentor role in multiple DC movies. :)

I want Keaton to have a third solo batman film... :(

and Affleck to have one :D

If he were to get a 3rd Batman...better be in continuity with his first 2 and feature Nightwing/Batgirl.

Michael Keaton has closed his deal to star in the Flash according to El Mayimbe.

You really think WB is capable of looking beyond 1 movie and actually having a plan?

I want a trilogy of Katon Film as Batman

The Flash
Batman:Kingdom Come ( a film with him as batman fighting Clayface and Riddler)
Batman Beyond 1

I would love that :D
