Im all for Crowdfunding etc...unless it involves comicsgaters or the absolute vile garbage of a human EVS.

Has that clown even released his books by now or has he found another way to steal money from people dumb enough to believe his idiotic "crusade"?
Last i heard he claimed to have won the war against Marvel/DC and every "woke" comic publisher.

Agreed. There's no way in hell I'd ever give Meyer and EVS my money. They don't need it from the looks of it, either.

*shrugs* They seem to be making bank and lots of it based on their campaigns. I read Meyer's Do As Your Told and PANdemIC. I think they're really great stories that tie into, well, the pandemic and the state of things around them.

So Future State is not the disaster I anticipated. I really enjoyed the Teen Titans issue. Dark Detective was pretty intriguing and Swamp Thing was stellar as well. Flash is an infuriating train wreck, but what else is new?
Good to hear! I look forward to reading it.

I wound up getting the Next Batman, Wonder Woman and Swamp Thing because I wasn't aware that Strange Adventures and Hellblazer: Rise and Fall were pushed back. And since I am incapable of walking out of a comic shop empty handed, I grabbed them.

Swamp Thing was cool, and I especially liked the ending. I'll be in for Ram V's Swamp Thing mini in March.

Didn't much care for Batman or Wonder Woman though the art was great. Just wasn't really feeling the writing.

Future State: JL was fun. I immediately loved Aquawoman and the new GL. Jon is turning into a carbon copy of Clark though which is fairly boring.

I see that they turned Helena white again in Future State: Dark Detective which im sure will get messy once she starts showing up again more regularly.

Yeah, its not as bad as expected...most of the titles have a decent beginning...no im not looking at you Flash.XD

But either im too dumb that i dont get it, or the timeline is really weird.
On one hand it seems like this is so long after death metal, but then it doesnt feel like too long ago.
Is it even after Death Metal? I dont understand the timeline.

I dont think i will keep reading them all, but on the other hand its just a short event so maybe i should give it a change at its fullest.
But as it stands, while being quite enjoyable...i dont feel it.
It doesnt make me forget about my "good old" DC characters.
For a limited event, it starts out neat.

Death Metal was weird and didn’t seem connected to continuity anyway. Not sure where the Superman design came from or the
dead Batman
aspect came from in that story. But Dark Detective referenced the new mayor and ties nicely into the Batman titles, so it seems to be more in continuity than Death Metal even though Death Metal gave rise to future state.

I gotta admit the more I read the future state titles the more I wish it wasn't just a two month thing. There are some interesting ideas in there. Although for me for Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and the Justice League of there books should be telling Year One to now and the other should be telling us the present and beyond. Because while we all know Jon's story, I would love to see the moment Clark retired and gave him the cape as well as Conner's reaction and what happened to the rest of the Titans.

Wait, January releases are out already? ****, I'm out of the loop... There's nothing on UCS so I thought the new releases weren't coming out until end of the month. Usually there's a weekly section for new comics on UCS but I don't see it anymore...

UCS

How do you folks keep up with release dates? I use PreviewsWorld for non-DC stuff since they left Diamond.

Each title takes place in a different year which is confusing. Some are 20 years into the future while others are just like 5 years into the future. Future State is supposed to be a possible future.

This is likely what 5G was supposed to be where they actually took over full time but this is reworked.

I'm fully aware of that which is why I said I am kinda of sad now about not seeing this. Although in a way happy as well because I always felt Conner & Cassie should become Superman and Wonder Woman next with Tim doing his own thing like Nightwing.

I'm just surprised how much I like this considering I thought it would be trash.

DC Launching 'Batman & Scooby-Doo Mysteries' Comic Book

I'm a die-hard Scooby fan, so I might check this out.

And if this...
Apart from Mystery, Inc. unmasking Watchmen’s Rorschach, which would be pretty fun...

Funny you should mention Scooby unmasking Rorschach. Toward the end of Scooby-Doo Team-Up, I finally, finally figured out a way to make a Watchmen-Scooby team-up work

ever became a thing I would pay $$$$$$$$$$$ to see Alan Moore's face when he found out (please, please, please).

I dont really like Scooby Doo teaming up with DC heroes...I like them on their own.

I generally prefer it when Scooby is its own thing, but I might give this a look. They're talking about inserting Scooby into Batman: Year One. Something in me needs to see that.

April solicits are out today.

A LOT of $5.00 books. When you consider the 100 Page Walmart books were $5.00, a regular sized book with one back-up doesn't seem worth it. Some of them are "first issue" prices too, but still.

It makes a bit more sense with books like Strange Adventures or Batman/Catwoman or the Batman: Black & White or Superman: Red & Blue. These are limited series with name talent, an experimental nature, and cardstock covers.

But I think I may have to cut the Superman books as a result. Kinda sucks.

Doesn't sit right with me on how they're handling Conner.

So random, but I'm on a Mongul kick and I've decided I really wish he had his own omnibus or trade or something. I know there's that Superman vs. Mongul trade, but two of the best Mongul stories I know of don't involve Supes at all and therefore aren't included in that (I'm not even sure it includes his story from the "Exile" arc). The awesome Mongul Showcase story Tomasi did in the '90's I don't think is available in ANY collected edition at all. :(

But I suppose it's probably for the best - I've already got 3 omnibus purchases planned for this year, which is a lot for me (and my wallet), lol.

Yeah, I did enjoy the Scooby-Doo Team-up issues. :D
