Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness general news and discussion thread

Yeah, as I always say when I’m watching a movie for the first time and it’s a really good scene “I could really do with a leak”

Since this seems to be filmed completely inside studios, I don‘t expect an accurate leak at all.
I‘m afraid we have to wait for a teaser trailer in, maybe September

Big clue to it being an April Fools is the big "confidential" watermark. Bit of a reminder that Marvel are harsh on anyone who spills their secrets. Still, it's a fun idea regardless.

What other MCU movies have filmed completely inside studios? I'm wondering if that's a good thing for the movie itself.

poor Lizzie has been working non-stop from wrapping one project to the other...
I mean like every normal people have work to make their livings

btw that logo on the hat, KF is wearing, is interesting.
The Sanctum Sanctorum Logo (yellow like Strange/Kamar Taj magic) between red magic beams (obviously Scarlet Witch) and blue magic.
Who is using blue magic beams? Clea? Chton?

Didnt they say the Movie uses the same Technology as the Mandalorian?
If so then it wouldnt be that much of a deal.

But i can see the Movie taking place mostly indoors or in strange places that need Greenscreen.
The Movie doesnt strike me as one that needs to rely a lot on outside locations for filming.
However, if we consider that this movie is supposed to do stuff with the Multiverse, it would be neat to have a few actual locations.
Who knows, the lack of leaks etc on this is making predictions or so really hard.

Mando als wasn‘t filmed entirely in studios. You have a fitting location (like Californian desserts) and the globe-technique just projects the background for Mos Eisley. It replaces the greenscreen or matte paintings from earlier days, so the actor could interact in the environment.
If DS2 was entirely filmed in studios, a big part of the movie will take place in a non earthly dimension.
I hope it‘ll not look too artificial like the dark dimension in the first movie.
Even the StarWars prequels were filmed on real locations. That adds a lot to the movies imho

Maybe it will look like the 60s Star Trek planet sets with polystyrene rocks.

It wasn't completely filmed inside Longcross studio. They were filming at locations such as Royal Institute of British Architects in London, they filmed a large sequence in Somerset and at Freemason Hall.

Most of the film was filmed during the time the UK was on another lockdown which is most likely why no location pictures leaked.

people have drones these days...

So some recent "leaks" mention that the villains are
Shuma Gorath and Chthon.
Wait and see I guess.

What does that quote come from in your signature?

Sorry it took awhile to respond, I haven't been on in a couple days. I'm not sure with whom it originated. Variants of it have been said for centuries. But I believe it started in ancient Greece during the Persian Wars.

Ok thanks. I guess it's a fairly well-known saying then?

We have another character confirmation:

Julian Hilliard, playing Billie from Wandavision, did a Q&A on twitter. Someone asked if he had fun shooting Multiverse of Madness and he replied with "YES!". After a few minutes he deleted the post. Seriously, he is 10 years old. He does an awesome job so far, Im definetly TeamBillie and not Tommy, but he shoudnt handle his twitter account alone, let management/parents have an eye on it at least. Fans make some tricky questions.

Man, together with Thor: Love & Thunder, this is the movie I'm most excited about. Both have unlimited potential. So many places you can go and explore with these two!
