Aren't they already filming Ant-Man 3? Why would it be delayed to 2023 now unless everything this year is also being pushed back?

Marvel's 2022 slate is pretty packed, so I'm sure something has to go.

I thought they might have pushed Black Panther 2 from the Summer slot in order to give themselves more time to figure out the next step. Guess we'll see.

No, not filming until this summer and like @Pfeiffer-Pfan said, 2022 is already packed. Not to mention the fact that at least one or two titles that are scheduled for release this year will probably be moved until 2022.

My hope is that Kang initially presents himself as a hero, mentions being part of the Askani (in reality, he betrayed them and drops a line about how he's the one who killed Jenskot) talks about how much he's trying to get things done a few years before Nathan arrives and is shown to be the Pharaoh Rama Tut in the past and attempting to kill kid Apocalypse while Kang points out to Wasp that she has no idea what she's doing and not only does she manage to create Kang's dystopian future but she also unleashes a major X-Men villain.

Lilly just confirmed on social media that she read the script. She tagged Corey Stoll so people are speculating he is coming back as Darren Cross.

I think Cross died but they could bring him back via time travel. I think it would be cool if they took a page from the Avengers Forever comic storyline and had Kang recruit Cross from earlier in the timeline as Yellowjacket against the heroes

I agree, Cross isnt loved by the audience and I dont see what he could bring to the story nor how his involvement would make the story better since noone cares about him.

They kind of dropped the ball with Yellowjacket a bit. I believe he was supposed to be a sort of Norman Osborn style crazy obsessive tycoon with Ultron's Pym daddy issues.

We never really got to see him descend into madness in Ant-Man as he was already kind of nuts and obsessed with hurting his mentor Hank Pym when the film began.

Director Peyton Reed said the Cross particle experiments supposedly made him mentally unstable like Norman Osborne's Goblin formula did in Spider-Man.

Yep. I still adore the first Ant-Man but Yellowjacket wasn't great. There was a couple of deleted scenes with Cross that probably should have stayed in the final product.

Also a shame we don't actually see him in the suit until the last, what 15-20 minutes?
