Sites like Illuminerdi have really irked me for a long time. Out of nowhere started pumping out 'exclusives' about everything, with the article just saying "we have exclusively learned that..." and then the rest of the article filled with filler talk about the thing their made-up scoop is about. And they basically never have turned out true or have been supported by reputable sources. The first one that got a lot of attention I think was that they learned Hulkling had been cast for Wandavision and we know how that turned out.
What's even more annoying is that I always look for MCU information on other websites and those started to report all the bogus made-up clickbait by Illuminerdi and similar sites. Had to completely stop going to MCU Exchange when they started reporting Illuminerdi headlines as if they were fact. And Murphy's Multiverse started running them too...
Hope that the Wandavision report being fake + Gunn calling them out directly will finally harm their reputation to the point that they won't be taken seriously anymore.
