Well since they're having Jaime Alexander, maybe Taiki will cast her Blindspot co-star Sullivan Stapleton in a role. He's actually Australian too.

They've been filming since late January so they are a good way into it by now (no delays due to Covid outbreaks on set either).

I don't think they're finished though. Especially since all MCU projects undergo extensive reshoots.

Bale is not even there yet as far as we know. The Russell film is still shooting in LA but we haven’t seen set pics of him lately either so who knows.

He apparently wanted to be in Ragnarok but it didn’t happen and then I think he said he would be or wanted to be in “the next one”.

Since things are a bit slow i thought it would be interesting to do a side by side comparison regarding the casts of both Ragnarok and Love & Thunder. Needless to say that TLT likely still has a couple of unknown aces up it's sleeve. I'll try and match them as much as possible, if not then i'll either add someone playing a similar role, could be supporting, antagonist, cameo, smaller supporting roles, "similar" speculated size roles...

Looking back Ragnarok had a great cast too. TLT has a bit more recognizable faces.
At this point in time i'd say they both look pretty even.

The focus of Ragnarok was basically on Thor, Hulk/Banner, Hela, Loki and Valkyrie.
It seems like the focus of TLT will be on Thor, Jane Foster, Gorr, Sif and Valkyrie.

Ragnarok was quirky, rock and roll, action, adventure, comedy... Breezy to a fault.
TLT seems to be wilder, action, adventure, comedy and romance. More thoughtful.

From the very same guy that first revealed that Russel Crowe was cast in TLT, here’s some more relevant bits of information, this time regarding Bale’s Gorr.

EXCLUSIVE Christian Bale has already started shooting as Gorr. According to my source, the actor asked Marvel to use very little CGI or NOTHING with his character, so Gorr's appearance will be mostly with makeup.

While I think that’s very possible and more than likely, I assumed that acct was just BS-ing when I first saw it. I didn’t know though that it was the one who first reported about Crowe’s casting so very cool if true.

Apparently the co-writer for TLT has finished her job in the film’s production. She posted some pictures from the set and crew with the caption:

“best adventure of my life - thank you to the indigenous and aboriginal people of australia for sharing your land for a bit, i loved it so much”

Hairstyle very similar to Thunderstrike’s look with the ponytail and all by the looks of it. Could also be that they are just keeping it like tied up when training before filming.
