I have a feeling this will be moved up a month to the February Presidents' Day weekend slot that worked out so well for Black Panther. Like any studio Marvel Studios loves its headlines and holiday weekends inflate the opening weekend numbers, which makes for a good headline.

I was hoping more for Chton and going deeper into the Darkhold and Wanda going to Vaanda-Gor after the credits of WV

RUMOR: Monica Rambeau May Appear in 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' - Murphy's Multiverse - (murphysmultiverse.com)

It does make sense due to her connections to Wanda. Plus it will get a chance for Monica to meet and interact with another established MCU character such as the Sorcerer Supreme.

However the rumor allegedly comes from Daniel Ritchman, who I have serious doubts about as a supposed "insider."

I'd be cool with this myself if its indeed accurate. I imagine they'd combine certain elements of Chthon with Shuma-Gorath. Namely being the source of chaos magic and author of the Darkhold.

I would imagine that a lot of that changed once Derrickson left and was replaced by Raimi.

Though based on the leaked promo art, I think Clea will show up in this still. My guess is that they'll somehow retcon Christine Palmer into her.

I realize given the title that this movie will inherently have a lot to unpack but if these rumours are credible it's starting to look like this movie will be quite stuffed. At the end of the day I'm coming for more Doctor Strange and his world, not too many others. Wanda? Okay, makes sense. I hope not too much more.

totally agree - this is interesting because of going deeper into the world of DS, not because of many multiversal cameo like Tom Cruise as Iron Man.
Sam Raimi is a horror director and I have hopes he took the job, because it’s mythical horror or scary stuff

Sam Raimi doing Ghost Rider is a pretty great idea! Even just a cameo.

This movie allows for anything to appear even as a cameo. All is plausible at this point.

What would be the point though? His character was hardly an interesting one and he's wasted in that role imo. If he were recast as Dr. Doom who would realise it was the same actor given the make-up or even care about his previous role?
