Marvel finally "officialized" the X-Men Live Action Multiverse.

Earth-10005 - Earth-assignation for the first seven X-Men films. Reality destroyed when Wolverine traveled back in time in order to prevent Mystique from killing Bolivar Trask.

Earth-TRN414 - Earth-10005's dystopian future averted. The new timeline of the three 2014-2019 X-Men movies, as well as "The New Mutants".

Earth-41633 - The two Deadpool movies.

Earth-17315 - "Logan". Alternate X-Men film universe, where mutantkind has become endangered by 2029.

Earth Unknown 1 - The (main) universe of "Legion".

Earth Unknown 2 - The universe of "The Gifted".

Earth-700029 - The universe of "Generation X" (television movie).

Earth-704509 - The universe of "Mutant X" (TV series).

Plus, many other realities like the ones depicted in "Deadpool 2" and "Legion" (Season 2/3).

Marvel didn't do anything. These have been the same for years and they hold no more meaning now than they did back then.

No man. That's Marvel Comics. Here we go. Those are the continuities officialized by Marvel Comics itself. Anything else is a big delusion LOL.

This was "officialized" where?

Official handbooks, official statements, official declarations and... Marvel Comics itself.
All certified Earth-Assignations.

What I'm saying is that these designations have been around for years and they had as little authority then as they do now. So I really don't know why you made a thread about it this late in the game.

They are 100% legit. Marvel and Disney say so. The thread is proper.

What I meant is that this means absolutely nothing to me and it goes against the intent of the filmmakers. They can't even agree which universe is 616 proper. Let alone make decisions on the canon of these movies.

I absolutely understand your point of view, but I can't accept Logan as the end of the franchise at all, because on that storyline mutants don't exist anymore, the X-Men have lost, there is no future for the mutant kind and... Charles Xavier failed on all levels.
I prefer having Logan as an alternate, nihilistic universe.

Honestly, it comes down to where Kevin Feige will place these. Guess we'll find out somewhere between Deadpool and Secret Wars. It's in his hands now.

Right.
Since Deadpool 3 will feature the Fox Wolverine, we will know where Logan (the movie) is truly placed in the old timeline(s).
