Given the current Batman press lately, I think Dc needs to fire up some big time Positive Batman press and this maybe the way by releasing some content from this upcoming film might be just the right approach.

LOL this is in no way a situation that calls for damage control. If you want new footage, you don’t need the pretense of Batman apparently not eating *****. Just ask for new footage.

All that publicity from the last week made me want to go back and finish Harley season 2. That show is what the Harley movie should have been. Really fantastic stuff, it’s up there with some of the best superhero shows.

Matt Reeves’ Harley Quinn - recast or a multiverse Margot Robbie Harley?

I have been revisiting classics like Knightfall and TLH and I really want to see Poison Ivy. She was interesting long before she met Harley Quinn, and I really want to see her in Reeves’ Rogues Gallery. It’s just unclear whether Poison Ivy will show up in Reeves’ verse or another Margot Robbie Harley appearance.

I'd prefer another actress as Harley (no offense to Margot, she's great.)

But I'd really only want Harleen, maybe in a cameo, maybe a Arkham spinoff show, or if she was Harley something like in White Knight where they portray the character as still having an ounce of intellect.

Im 100000 percent on board with any kind of Ms. Isley

I'd actually like to see Reeves take on Scarecrow as the main villain in the sequel. That's another character that can have an inspired reinvention.

I like Scarecrow in BB and all, he does exactly what he needs to do in it, and Murphy is excellent, but you can do more with him.
Scarecrow was very supplemental to the Bruce/Ra’s relationship in BB. Using him as the main villain would push a sequel closer into horror territory, which doesn’t seem to far off the mark from what we’re going to be getting in The Batman. I’d be into it.

It'd be a good way to differentiate it from this movie where he's not just chasing another serial killer but be still consistent. Putting this Batman into a more horror film would be unique as we haven't seen that before.

If Riddler is the serial killer targeting evil rich folk, then Scarecrow is the torturer targeting helpless lower class patients. Maybe Edward is one of them??

But for a change let’s get into his backstory and reinvent it (just like his design). I’d make him a younger outsider straight out of a True Detective episode. Straw-like red hair. A bit long and tied back in a ponytail. Freckles. Think Caleb Landry Jones.

I can see Scarecrow and Mad Hatter in this series but not main villains.

I’ve been reading old reports and quotes from Reeves and I still think we’re getting a bigger rogues gallery in this movie than we think. Quite a few surprises in store that won’t be shown in any marketing. From Hatter to Cluemaster to Joker. GothCorp & Poison Ivy references, Harvey Dent too (unless he’s cast already).

I don’t think we’ll get Harley Quinn unless she’s brought into the end of the trilogy as Dr Quinzel. At this point her pre-Harley days would be more interesting. Definitely not Margot. Probably a lesser known actress unless there are big plans then why not Anya Taylor Joy?

I’m not buying the multi verse anymore. I think Harley/Ivy have a better chance at getting their own movie starring Margot Robbie and Riley Keough set in the Birds of Prey/Suicide Squad universe. With Reeves backing off from using those characters. But hey...if it’s a true multi verse then I’d like to see Anya or another unknown firecracker actress + Riley (who works for any tone).

Yeah if you want a physically intimidating Scarecrow as a main villain, who can also help turn heads...Driver is the man. But Caleb fits a weirder unorthodox take on Crane perhaps in a lesser role.

I would love to see a series where the movies aren’t about just one villain. But there are several members of a rogues gallery sprinkled throughout each story. Or better yet, all the classic rogues are smaller and the big baddie is an obscure villain.

The movie having just one villain is actually an outlier. The one time it's happened has been with Nicholson's Joker. Any other time, it's been two villains at least. Catwoman/Penguin, Riddler/Two-Face, Freeze/Ivy, Ra's/Scarecrow, Joker/Two-Face, Bane/Talia, and now appears to be Penguin/Ridder and maybe Catwoman.

I suppose the only other time would be with Lex Luthor, if you're gonna count BvS.

BvS has Doomsday too though. And KG Beast? Someone like that.

Is there any other baddies than Stephen Wolf in Josstice League? That might be the other example.
