Oh, it is some Southern heritage. The part of the heritage that is racist. That is the thing about Germany. They get that the Nazis are a part of their history. They don't ignore that, and instead confront it. Well, most of them. The rise of the far right over there is getting scary.

Well, we don't want to go overboard by allowing CRT to be taught to our young, impressionable people. I think it's best to sort of gloss over our history because it might make some white kids feel bad.....

Fact.....the ONLY way to find our way out of this Fing mess is to confront reality, educate our populace, and let people decide the road forward. Sometimes I can't help but laugh at these ignorant, stupid......I don't know whats, but, really, it's not funny.

So I'm doing a deep dive into the Civil Rights Movement since high school just told us about Birmingham, Rosa Parks, Little Rock, and MLK. It is shocking how some the SAME EXACT ****ING RHETORIC is being used today when discussing the Black Lives Matter Movement. I have to ask did the older generation not realize this? Are they ignoring that those who opposed desegregation are being parroted by the All Lives Matter crowd?

The worst part is... These folks say the same things MLK's opponents did from the 50's and 60's. Yet they brazenly feel THEY are the ones that are truly living the ideals of the Civil Rights movement.

Spoiler alert: They are in no way living up to the ideals of the Civil Rights movement.

The Boomer generation is full of self important grandeur built up in their head. Almost as if they have an inferiority complex compared to the Greatest Generation. They refuse to acknowledge how much help they were given by that generation, and imposed hardships on the younger generations because they felt they had it so tough, so the younger generations should as well.

The racist reactions to the new Juneteenth federal holiday is hilarous.

Well... The "Greatest Generation" were the ones in power during MLK's day SB.

And the Baby Boom generation was the one in the streets marching against American Systemic Racism, and the Vietnam War and for LBGTQ Rights and many times getting their heads kicked or worse by their parents' generation.

There are quite a few graves out there with folk in them killed in the struggles of the 1950's, 60's and 70's.

Resentments feel really good but are ultimately poison to the soul, both individually but also politically and socially.

Let the Reactionaries paint with the broad brush without a thought for nuance or the like. It ain't helping them broaden their appeal or coalition. I don't see how on the other side mimicking the Neo-Fascists is a good look or move.

Ted Cruz......:whatever:

I had no idea that CRT was as racist as the KKK. I guess I need to read more.....

What the frack in the frelling frying pan is wrong with people like Ted Fing Cruz? They are just the lowest scum in the bottom of algae infested bucket (sorry if I offended algae). Lying political opportunists who keep getting re-elected....:wall::wall::wall:

I was thinking about my last post and just kept getting more and more pissed off.

Better now....thanks for indulging me.

The confluence of anti-Israel sentiment and antisemitism can be real tough to see at times.

Jesus christ. And people will still try to defend the schools and the church.

Glen Mazzara shared stories about racism and colorism issues that he has witnessed with executive over his career in a series of tweets.

Mazzara is known as an executive producer, showrunner of The Walking Dead and The Shield.
Once during a casting brainstorming session, an executive told me we needed to "find a beautiful, light-skinned Black actress, not too dark."

A producer once told me if we have 2 Black actors in the show, "then we're the Black show."

Two executives once told me the background actor with the Afro was distracting. Take him out of the shot.

Non profit corporations and anyone who gets any federal money or relief should have to comply with basic standards of decency and law.
