The Mandalorian The Mandalorian: General Thread

Liking bizarre anti-vaxx stuff. They seem to keep having the same problem.

I'm not going to call for Banks' firing for her liking some dumb nonsense on social media alone. She hasn't said anything publicly remotely related to being anti-vax. If she starts acting more like Carano, that's a different matter.

Social media is public. How do you think people know this happened? Sorcery?

Follow your truth, Darth Skywalker.
That the best argument you could come up with is the twitter mob came after her so viciously, while also saying it blew over in a day and didn't matter. Two obvious contradictory statements. It was more then one one post/follow, which does not suggest accident. Social media by it's nature is public and thus by doing such things in public, you are in fact making a public statement. You know, like slapping a MAGA sticker on your truck. No one with any sense would believe Banks saying she isn't anti-vax at this point because it would be clear why she is doing it.

Please, continue to complain about the woke mob, but let's be real. Rarely if ever has, "it's just their social media" ever born any fruit. Because that isn't what social media is for.

You don't have to care about something, but social media isn't some weird vacuum where people just regularly, publicly like and follow fringe conspiracy theorists that they don't agree with once they step out of it.

Remember not that long ago when your agents had to see everything before you published it? I know the WWE types used to be really strict, they just go "hands off the wheel' with the talent?

Vince does not understand social media. It is only recently he has tried to monetize it.

The Mandalorian Actor Says Season 3 Will Be More Like Season 1

Star Wars: The Mandalorian's third season isn't expected to hit Disney+ until next year, but fans should get the highly-anticipated The Book of Boba Fett at the end of this year. Recently, ComicBook.com spoke with Ming-Na Wen (Fennec Shand) and she teased "probably there will be some similarities" between The Book of Boba Fett and The Mandalorian. If you've been curious what season three of The Mandalorian will be like, stuntman Brendan Wayne recently spoke with the Star Wars Sessions podcast and teased the third season will be more like the show's first.

"I think we've introduced the world in which Mando exists now. Not that there aren't going to be new things, I'm sure... I think there will be a lot less introductions, and a lot more going back towards the first season of delving deeper into the character and things like that I think," Wayne shared. He added, "Have I read one script? No. Have I heard some things? Sure. So I'm guessing. But I can tell you this. If anyone's going to be able to continue telling a story, it's Jon [Favreau]. And raising the stakes? It's Jon."

"now" Sure seems that way.
And that pic . - The face-off for the Darksaber (and whose "Way"), is on!

-------------

As far as who actually ends up with it?
If Season 3 is the quest for Mandalor (to free or rule it?), I'm not really caught up with the cartoon cannon, Besides Bo, I think there is a Sabine character who has a claim to it, and even more factions out there, now including potentially the Armorer's clan, and "Vizla"? so there will likely be a fight.

I don't see Mando seeking to claim the throne, maybe helping free and/or unite his people seems more his drive, but not to claim power. That doesn't seem like him.

The only reason he ended up with the Darksaber was to save the Yoby, he had no interest in power, or what the saber symbolized or represented.
Even tried to willingly surrender it to Bo.

He might inadvertently lead people into action for a greater good, but that's a different kind of power. I think he walks from the throne, and leaves the rule to Bo or that Sabine character from the cartoons, or to any others in the mythology, and lets them have at it.

Clinging to the Darksaber (and everything it "offers" ) might ultimately bring death, Mando likely sees it's time to let it go!
Bo might be in a rough spot, if she can't....

Something else other than a symbol, or a dogmatic "way" is going to have to unite them, or they will destroy each-other.
Mando likely helps them see (or remember) that, or leaves their fate to them.

Final trope is I imagine - (Red Harvest/Yojimbo/Fist Full)- Poisonville is "cleansed" it's own people left to rule themselves, he walks off into the sunset to continue his wandering - cue his badass theme music.:cwink:

Be funny if he becomes the New Mandalore by fate and creed. kinda mirroring what Kuill said about how the Mandalorians were legendary, and he's the first to step up and make a name for himself.

I wouldn't be surprised if Djinn walking around loud and proud on Tatooine in season 1 woke Boba Fett from his Spice fueled slumber.

So they are presumptively building a lighstaber together as part of his training, weather it's ever referenced anywhere as canon or not is irrelevant, seems a clever, fun, speculative idea to capture in a poster, looks great!:yay: And appears to be legit licensed too.
Personally would have gone for a more blue-green/cyan/aqua color crystal for Grogu's choice, but yellow is ok.

Also the oft hellion Grogu with a saber, seems like a dangerous liability. Luke better have Beskar suits for all the other kids. Especially on mail day when the other parents send cookies:funny:
