I love co-op games, vampires and Arkane so this is a great combo for me. Btw welcome back - I remember you used to post a lot many years ago and I played Gears 3 with you and a bunch of mates a few times. (might have forgotten as my gamertag and username here have both changed since lol)

Yep, totally on board. And thanks mate! Yeah, I remember! Def some of my favourite co-op gaming memories. Man I wish Gears still had the same magic of G3.

Loved the demo of this today. Very happy to have confirmation it's open world like other Arkane games. 4 player co op with the exploration and environmental storytelling of an Arkane game sounds like a great time.

Vibe of this one is really giving me Lost Boys meets Stranger Things.

I would prefer solo play myself. I have grown tired of co-op, mmo, multiplayer in general with the grab bag of which flavor of troll will inevitably ruin the game for you.

Oh yeah, if you’re playing with randoms luck is involved for sure. I’ve met a lot of great people over the years as randoms but there have also been plenty of idiots. I usually do coop with friends, and if none have the game a session on trueachievements (truetrophies for PA) where there is at least some accountability with the feedback system. But yeah can completely understand people not being interested in non single player nowadays.

Hearing some more things from articles and videos.

Redfall apparently has friendlier dialogue between characters the more players play together and “trust buffs”. Supports both stealth and all guns blazing methods. Think I heard characters can combine powers. All nice touches.

On the gunplay front iD Software were recruited to help which is good news for me as that is one of the few elements Arkane could do with a boost on.

They showed quite a bit of Redfall at the Developer Direct. Looks decent, much prefer vampires to zombies!

Release date confirmed as 2nd May.

Current-gen price, ouch. I guess I'm going to try it with GP.

I liked what they showed on the direct. They made sure to mention the game CAN be played solo. Still, I would've preferred a fully single-player experience game like their past efforts.

Looking good now! Happy to hear on it being great in single player too, even though I’ll play in coop. Arkane haven’t let me down yet.

I'm back and forth on it. I saw some gameplay and I'm interested. Don't like the "always on" nonsense but they are trying to strip that out after the backlash.

Also not a big co-op player but it lets you play solo too so hopefully your AI team isn't too stupid.
