She-Hulk Marvel Studios' She-Hulk General Discussion Thread

Skaar was rumored for She Hulk and also the rumor, that the rights reverted back to Marvel. Nothing too unrealistic.
If Marvel Studios wants to make a Hulk solo film, than it’s gonna be probably that storyline

Skaar is the reason I have concerns about She Hulk. My main issue with the MCU is too many characters with the same powers/enhanced abilities without significant differences. We already have Hulk, Abomination and She Hulk. We don't need Red Hulk, Skaar, Red She Hulk, Amadeus Cho or Rick Jones if all they are Hulks and have the same abilities as Hulk without any changes. Give Skaar something different than the Hulk but also keep the powers that Bruce has. Give him a weapon that absorbs energy and releases it. Now, if you are to change Betty Ross, I prefer Harpy or Red Harpy rather than Red She Hulk. With Falcon and the Winter Soldier, there were too many super soldiers with the same enhanced abilities and the same looks. I don't mind Bucky because he has a bionic arm, which made him different than Steve Rogers. There was nothing different between the Flag Smashers and Steve Rogers. They were all super soldiers with the same enhanced abilities. At least make them look different. I have concerns that She Hulk will introduce too many Hulk like characters with the same enhanced abilities without any changes aesthetically (ie Bucky with his bionic arm or Isaiah Bradley as an older super soldier). I have read where Red Hulk can breathe fire and I wouldn't mind seeing that with Red Hulk in the MCU as it would make him different than Bruce (as he would be a red version of Hulk otherwise).

I don't particularly care for Skaar. I've read only a little bit that had him in it but he never struck me as a particularly memorable or interesting character and I don't really wish for him to be in the MCU. I think if you're gonna use that character the best thing you could do with him would probably be to make a movie-length Frank Frazetta artpiece come to life on Gamma-Steroids with Skaar surviving wastelands filled with giant monsters like the wastes of a more comic-accurate part of Sakaar or the Savage Lands or something. But I don't see how you'd make something like that and fit it into the larger MCU, which makes it unlikely they'd want to do that imo.

As for any other Hulks they might choose to introduce at some point, I hope they only do it if they have a good reason for them in the plot. If they do have others I hope they are different enough.

If they ever do Red Hulk I'd hope they 1. Let him keep the mustache to look more visually distinct from Bruce. 2. Give him military weaponry. A Hulk that can use special big guns is more distinct than another one that just smashes stuff. 3. Really lean into the general's body being old and in decline when not in Hulk form. Having him as an old man that has to walk with a cane only to become physically superhuman as Red Hulk would make an interesting dynamic.

If Betty ever becomes one I hope she's (Red) Harpy. The design and powerset are actually interesting as opposed to Red She-Hulk who feels like a derivative of a derivative of a derivative.

Amadeus Cho and Rick Jones shouldn't become a Hulk. They're both way more interesting without being Hulks.

Characters where the Gamma Mutation is very different from the Hulk transformation like Leader or Doc Samson I'm fine with. Sasquatch is fine too. Non-gamma characters that happen to be vaguely Hulk-adjacent like Dorrek-Vell (Hulkling) or Xemnu are fine too.

I don't think anybody cares about the likes of Lyra or Weapon H or even more minor versions.

Agreed on all points. It was one of my issues with Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Too many super soldiers looking the same.

Honestly I'd only be interested in Joe Fixit and Immortal Hulk at this stage. Can do without Skaar and Maestro and Red Hulk personally.

No thanks. I want my Skaar and Maestro.

Skaar only works if you were to go whole hog on the Planet Hulk mythology with Caiera, the Shadow Power and basically all the high fantasy stuff from Pak’s run. Which I’m not really sure the MCU can do, considering it’s version of Sakaar is drastically different from the comics version.

Plus, Skaar’s relationship with Bruce/Hulk requires them to incorporate all the backstory with Brian Banner and the domestic abuse angle. I can’t for the life of me see Marvel Studios showing us visceral level of abuse that’s needed to contextualise Bruce’s complicated relationship with fatherhood.

I'm personally a fan of Shulkie being a bit more bulky than shown here. But I guess the door is still open to her bulking up a bit more in the future if she becomes more Savage or Grey or something.

Although I like the nod to the 70s show with Banner dressed in blue when she says "Don't make me angry...", why would she be saying that? Usually in the comics She-Hulk said "Make me angry. You'll like me when I'm angry" because of the very fact that she was much more fun and likeable as She-Hulk.

There will be plenty of opportunities to see a full trailer for this and Moon Knight as remember, they also own ABC and ESPN.

I wonder if part of the time for certain shots She-Hulk is played by a fitness model in green paint. Because that shot of her from behind could easily have been that and didn't look like it required mo-cap to get someone that size. It looked like quite human proportions to me and could easily have been a fitness model - not even a bodybuilder.

It could one of two things: only for the teaser or a commercial for her law practice.

Yea I think it might be for an in-universe TV commercial. There's a law firm out here in AZ that always does cheesy/gimmicky commercials, so that's where my mind immediately went to.
