Was gonna say, there's no way. October 6, 2023 makes a lot of sense. Blade would be a great MCU film to release leading up to Halloween. Cutting it close to whatever they're planning for November 10 though.

No way - if they could release it in 2022, then they should’ve already start filming.

But with BP2, the Marvels, Ant-Man 3 and soon Guardians the production sites are already blocked for the next months

Even though I’m excited for this movie, I’m just as excited by the possibility of the multiverse bringing Snipes back into the mix for one last go at Blade.

I am excited for Blade love the originals even 3 provides some joy and funny bad lines to quote.

Regarding the rating, language would be the only real thing to make it R. Vamps are probably not going to bleed but get dusted or something not bloody. They should still allow vamps to feed.

I think it can be R rated if they want unless they want Deadpool 3 to be their 1st R rated movie. They can't downgrade what Deadpool already has going on, if it continues to do well it might open their eyes to a few more.

Yeah, but if they started making R rated movies (with Deadpool) within the MCU, then Blade could be too. He could still show up in other PG projects (like Deadpool).

2 days ago I thought about Da 5 Bloods (noticed that Jonathan Majors plays Delroys son) and thought, how awesome Delroy Lindo would be in a MCU movie like BP2

Delroy Lindo, Mahershala Ali, Don Cheadle, Anthony Mackie, Jonathan Majors, Jamie Foxx (for now), Samuel L Jackson, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Brian Tyree Henry all in the MCU at the same time. That's so cool.

It would be cool to see Delroy Lindo as Jamal Afari, Blades original mentor and father figure from the comics. It is a good way to differentiate Ali's Blade from the Snipes version.

Delroy Lindo was cast as Dominic Fortune in the Agent's Of Shield Spin off that never got picked up.
Looks like he finally got his second shot at a Marvel role.

People have concerns that Ali, who is 47 will be too old, but keep in mind that SLJ is 72 and Don Cheadle is 56. Also Keanu Reeves is 57 and Tom Cruise is 59. If Ali keeps himself in top shape he should be fine. Harrison Ford is 79.

Yeah i dont know what people have with Age.
In this day and age where fitness and healthy lifestyles etc are such a huge thing, people take better care of themself and all...acting like a person in their 40 is "too old"...is weird.

Im pretty sure there are people who are 20-30 years older than me and are fitter than me...age means little these days.

I didnt even knew Ali was in his 40s.
And with movie magic etc, i dont see the big deal.
And hell, a experienced Veteran Blade doesnt sound too bad either.
Someone who does this for a long time and isnt reckless etc.

I'm more curious to know who's the guy above Louis D'Esposito? I believe that's Eric Hauserman Carroll above Kevin as I first saw him watching the premiere of NWH that Marvel Studios posted.

If they wanted a black Dracula I think Delroy Lindo has the right combination of charm and menace to do it. Most likely Blade's mentor I know, but a black Dracula be interesting and would differentiate from all the rest, including the multiple Dracula adaptations being worked on even now.

‘Blade’ Starring Mahershala Ali Adds Aaron Pierre To Cast – Deadline

Blade having two South London born actors with Aaron Pierre and Delroy Lindo.

Faiza Hussain (Exaclibur) is rumoured to be in the movie. I think Rakhee Thakrar (Sex Education, Eastenders, The Girl Before & Wonka) would be a good fit for the character.

I know everyone is gonna only want to see a costume that looks like the Snipes version.

But if they're not cowards they should have him in a version of his classic look for at least part of the movie.
