Guardians of the Galaxy Will Poulter to play Adam Warlock

I've always thought Will Poulter has an extremely punchable face. He'll just always be the worst cousin from Narnia for me. But I'm willing to assume that Gunn maybe took that into account haha. Maybe he wants an Adam Warlock with a punchable face!

In an alternate universe Poulter would be cast as Guy Gardner. :applaud

I feel bad for Poulter because his looks get so many negative reactions.

Poulter left social media for a while after he did Black Mirror because the comments about his looks started effecting his mental health. Poulter is been a anti-bullying spoked person as well.

Anyway Poulter was on British Talk Show Jonathan Ross promoting his show Dopesick. Warlock fanboy Ross tried to get some details but Poulter obviously wouldn't spill. Poulter has dyed his hair blonde and has been working out for the Adam Warlock role.

His hair looks perfect already and you can tell he’s been bulking up for the part. I’m sure he’ll be awesome in the role; Gunn gets great performances out of his actors and Poulter stands out in most of the stuff he’s in. He was exceptional in Detroit.

Will Poulter is a tremendous talent, and I think this is great, inspired casting.

I think a significant portion of this comes from those bull**** Zach Efron casting rumors that were proven bogus. I mean the same fake rumors got reported for Marc Spector in Moon Knight. Frankly, I think they were probably spread out there by a publicist or agent of Efron who wants him to get a role in the MCU.

And nothing against Efron, but Adam Warlock is a bit of a unique role to play. And I'm very confident Will Poulter has all the necessary tools to nail this character if he's written and directed competently.

I really don't get it. He's a good-looking guy.

I don't know what it is either that people harass Poulter. Some people just have weird, unrealistic standards with regards to how a movie star looks.

Please note that I'm not insulting Tobey Maguire here. But I think the fact that in the original Spider-Man movie they didn't cast someone who was more traditionally movie star square-jawed Tom Cruise type handsome in the role worked in the favor of giving us a more believable, realistic looking Peter Parker. That's why I'm glad for say Peter Parker Sam Raimi went with someone like Maguire over say Freddie Prinze Jr.

Really impressed by his performance in Dopesick. I think he’ll do great as Adam Warlock.
