Like how Marvel replaced Ed Norton by Mark Ruffalo, New actor can play Superman in other DCEU movies, similar to how Ruffalo plays Hulk in other MCU movies even though Marvel are not going to give Hulk any more solo films as TIH movie did not do great business.

Yeah, I've let go of Cavill coming back and I say that as a big fan of his run. Doom and gloom and all. Think he could really nail a take with a bit more of the levity that the character has more than earned imo, but honestly I just don't really care anymore if it happens.There's only so long that the "Will they? Wont they?" thing can keep my interest.

In general, the overall mystique that these CBMs operate under has gotten exhausting to me. Like the stuff with No Way Home was kinda my breaking point. I get why studios do it, but I think I've aged out of the sorta patience required to enjoy the ride.

A proper MOS2 where we see him juggle the persona, tip toeing around the office, a different Kent on the beat reporting.. superman being loved by the citizens. Then a threat coming... we all know Cavill can handle that.

It amazes me to think we just skipped over TDOS storyline, imagine Pattison's sequel being knightful, the whole saga, in one movie... nonsense and damn Snyder for thinking he could.

Sure, it's possible, and if that's the case then it's not the end of the world, Superman is bigger than Cavill and any other actor has played him and will play him in he future, to be honest I think that moving on from Cavill could be good for the character, cos Henry, although well liked by most fans, still carries the stench of Snyder's failures, so starting over might not be such a bad idea.
With all that being said, I suspect that we'll be getting alot of Superman over the next decade, before Action no.1 becomes public domain and WB losses exclusivity 2 the character, so don't be surprised if we see lots of Supermen (Cavill included) flying around.

The DCEU ship sank before it ever really got started and there's no recovery after BvS. It took over 2 decades but the WB finally got the chance to kill Superman on the big screen and it was all so poorly executed that I will never support anything from anyone involved with that disaster. WB doesn't deserve any more chances with Superman as far I'm concerned.

Same. I got two Superman flicks that I like. Many don’t, but I do. I’d love to have something we can all get into though.

Makes me feel that the alternate versions are waiting in the wings... could be Cavill with the original DCEU, could be MBJ if he is retcon or an alternate earth, which means this blackadam won't face off Shazam, he's be honest... from what I am seeing, I don't think this Shazam and this blackadam would work, I feel Shazam! is too light and the stakes won't be high enough.

Or Blackadam is in it's own league, and we see a rebooted universe for that.

So it's DCEU, retconned DCEU, it's own thing.

Just like Batman beyond, whilst a cool concept, it's not batman... heck, it can be an amazing movie and blow me away... and I may get sold, either way... but yeah... we will see.

Totally get you and I agree. For me Clark Kent is Superman, Bruce Wayne is Batman, Peter Parker is Spider-Man, etc.

FYI, if you want to see Cavill playing medieval Batman, he's basically doing it on The Witcher.

Like he even does detective and forensic work on this show. And I dunno, I do agree Cavill is a good actor but from everything I've seen him in, he was better suited for Bruce Wayne/Batman than Clark Kent/Superman.

IE, Chris Pine would've been better suited for Hal Jordan than Steve Trevor.

I think in this case, it's a fair point. I mean The Batman looks great but it could be a disappointment for all we know.

Because even if it does disappoint they'll simply reboot and go again, the characters never going to be in the odd limbo Superman consistently has been in.
