Switch The Official Nintendo Switch Thread - Part 2

Am I the only one who watched that trailer and went "Hey, anima and animus! They are invoking medieval alchemy!"?

That's a lot sooner than I expected.

I really need to play one of these games. Do they have a continuous story? Would I need to catch up on youtube before starting the newest one?

Near as I can tell, the stories are linked, but not direct continuations.

Got the pregame for the June Direct. Usually some good stuff in the Indie directs, and there are a few dates I am looking forward to seeing. Plus, hoping to see Golf Story 2.

Are these indies that come out on other platforms too or exclusive to Switch?

A lot of them come out on other platforms too.

I need to get into the Xenoblade series. I was going to get the first on Wii, but dragged my heels on that one.

Same here. Always been on my list to get into this series.

God, the mechanics go DEEEP. A party of 4 would give amazing options and combinations, but good lord, a team of 6 with an optional 7th? Just a smorgasbord of a job system.

WE GOT DIRECT SIGN!!!!!

Ooofff, I can just feel the rage in the comments already. No Metroid, no Zelda. Definitely Bayonetta. Probably more about Monster Hunter. Thinking Squeenix is bringing a new Bravely game.

Surprised that Nier Automata doesn't appear to be Cloud version. And finally, the Battle Network collection.

Persona, Battle Network, Nier are my favorites. I also like that story book puzzle RPG. Sonic Frontiers feels too little too late. I wanted it in the 2010's, but dammit Sega wouldn't let go of nostalgia and the Boost formula.

The fighting system in Frontiers is... not good.
Like Nintendo saw combat on a mascot platformer should remain limited to jumping on enemies and using a gimmick for melee attacks. :o
