Black Panther: Wakanda Forever General Discussion and Speculation Thread

I hope she never get work after this is done. I have no words for this woman.

I just hope they don’t delay Thor for the empty spot in November because this clearly won’t be ready for a November release
Do we even know Letitia was the cause of this outbreak? As for release date hasn’t Ant-Man wrapped up filming? Maybe it could fill BP’s slot.

Maybe. It depends on the story tho. Like, if maybe there are characters or elements introduced in BP that are important for Ant Man.

I doubt, but it's a possibility.

I said a while back in the Marvel movie thread that the release slot for this film could potentially swap for the third Ant-Man film or The Marvels if their isn't some narrative synergy issue.

Gosh, I hope this topic is about Marvel again soon…

I am actually glad Lupita Nyong'o is coming back as Nakia, but I am hoping for a larger role than what she had in the first one, if not as Black Panther (she's my pick), as Queen of Wakanda.
I kinda wish they paused on this and let a few other movies play out and test a few side characters first to see how it evolves....

recasting was the best option... but emotions took over.

I imagine bigger roles for all the female characters in this. Hopefully the same for Angela Bassett.

Lego sets, mostly reveal the first official look of MCU movies, usually are leaked 5 months prior to release.
Doing the math, we might see the first leaked lego sets (hopefully with Namor and the new Black Panther) for Wakanda Forever in June

Edit: Following the pattern of Thor (though Idk if patterns do still exist), probably a teaser trailer to show it with Thor. That could be 2-3 weeks prior to release - mid June then.
I bet, they ramp up the marketing before or right after Thor - they have not much to promote in the 2nd half of 2022. Probably 2 months without a MCU project (if She Hulk won’t get delayed until 2023 as rumors indicate)
Trailer probably around D23 which will be 1,5 months before release.

Damn I can't wait to see Namor especially after

The Fantastic Four, the Inhumans and the X-Men finally entered the mcu. Him, Silver Surfer and Ghost Rider are the only missing for me. The rest are just bonuses.

And when is Wakanda Forever going to get its own section.

I hope the rumors about Doom plotting war between Wakanda and Atlantis in the background are true.
They can show him in a post credit scene.
They kept
Charlize Theron as Clea
a secret, so why not the actor for Doom

Hmm I'd rather Marvel tease the impending Doom in F4. Plus I don't want to see Doom right away in F4 as a lead villain.

I'm finding it hard to see how this movie will be successful at all now, I was definitely one of those caught up in the emotions when Boseman passed, but now that time has passed... its really not fair to the character to just put him on the shelf, especially with as many great actors who could reprise the role.

Black Panther could have been like James Bond...

If they tease being involved in this at all, i hope it is post credits

Hmmm the more i think about it, I like the idea of having a different Black Panther for the 3quel, maybe Nakia or Okoye or someone we haven't seen before.

Aside from Leticia's cringey behavior, I'm just having a hard time seeing her as the Black Panther for several films. I wouldn't mind if they write her off for the 3rd Bp movie and give the Black Panther title/mantle to someone else.

Looks about right with the Atlanteans being merged with the Aztec culture. Namor looks like an Aztec king.

I rewatched Civil War last night. Such an awesome movie and if all that's been rumored these past two years ends up being true

This movie is going to be Civil War on steroids. Wakanda vs Atlantis courtesy of Victor Von Doom.

I am so excited!!! Way more excitement for this than for Thor or Quantumania or The Marvels.

That blurred piX looks good!

A solo movie for Namor would be so eXciting but this is the best Marvel Studios can do right now for the character.

I am gonna be honest, Namor is someone I always enjoyed more in supporting roles than as a lead. I have little doubt a Namor movie will happen eventually, but I am more excited to see Namor interact with other characters than get his own solo

Namor in this is basically what T'Challa was in Civil War. He gets introduced as the leader of Atlantis and goes toe to toe with the main character until they figure out in the end that they've been manipulated into fighting. A great supporting character role.
