Whenever one of the questionable sources mention something Guardians related, I usually don't believe it until Gunn confirms it.

There haven’t been so many for Guardians yet, thus being said I actually can‘t remember many wild rumors compared to MoM or Wakanda forever.
Most of them have been confirmed (Adam Warlock, High Evolutionary)

Not much is known besides that so obviously take with a grain of salt but this was mentioned around the same time High Evolutionary was first mentioned a few years back.
