I mean...Black Adam is not supposed to really be fun in the same vein that Shazam is. They are two completely different types of films and characters.

So maybe we're supposed to understand that Billy Batson becomes more extroverted when transformed. But even then, I can't find enough connection between the two for me to really buy it.

Am I the only one on this ? I don't know if it comes down to casting or direction. Maybe both.
Ironically, I think Jack Dylan Graze would have been a more natural alter ego for Levy...

It hasn't been stated explicitly (to my knowledge), but I've always theorized that the confidence he gets from being Shazam allows his true personality to shine through, unreserved.

As for the trailer, I enjoyed it. Looks like a ton of fun. The only thing that didn't land for me was the dragon joke at the end, but a few missed jokes is inevitable.

Moving the release date for Shazam 2 is the right call. I would probably move it to Aquaman 2’s current date. Move Aquaman 2 to The Flash’s date. Have no idea what to do with The Flash though.

To backfill that March 17 space, and to also capitalize on an Avatar-less March, David F. Sandberg’s Shazam: Fury of the Gods will be moving off its Dec. 21 release date and heading to Aquaman 2‘s old date.

Pushing this back was probably a smart move. I don't think it would a stood a chance going up against Avatar 2. In fact, that was the date that Aquaman 2 initially had.

Honestly I am glad this moved. Avatar would have swallowed it up whole and at least now it gets to have a decent run at the BO.
