It seems like Secret Wars should have had a longer buildup.

Are they gonna use it to reboot MCU?

I think it's too soon to tell, but I definitely expect there to be major repercussions.

Until now and November 2025 (or May 2026 what I expect) there will be released 12 movies and 11 series (+4 animated series, that will probably als connect in the climax) - not even counting the projects, that aren’t announced yet. This is more buildup, than AIW and AEG had.

I can’t see a reboot with a bunch of new properties only just introduced.

That’s true. Seems like the new phases are really short and if they did a secret wars, would they bring in people from other universes to take the place of the more popular and developed characters?

I don't see them rebooting either but they may use the end of Secret Wars as a way to adjust certain things within the universe the same way the 2015 comic did (ex. Miles now living in 616 and his mother alive, Doom's face is healed, etc...)

Maybe 1 or 2, otherwise not expecting extensive replacement. Maybe T’Challa is a candidate.

What does everyone think of the theory that Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars will tell the same story but from different point of views? So they essentially both take place at the same time just following different teams. Kang Dynasty takes place on earth while Secret Wars is the same events but in the battle world.

Doubtful that they have any interest in "rebooting" the MCU. But maybe closing the "multiverse" to some extent.

I wouldve said Secret Wars coming so soon is about trying to get the Russo Brothers back in action. But I guess they confirmed the Russos wouldnt be back for it?

Yeah they’ve said The Russo’s are not directing it.

Many opportunity for great cameos if so. I think here and in Secret Wars they will deliver on much of what was speculated for MoM.

That seems like a waste of a cameo tbh. If/when any of these actors do come back, I'd rather it be for something more substantial like in Secret Wars or something.

I have a feeling once the next Ant-Man film comes out, the destination and purpose of this saga is going to start becoming a lot clearer and come more into focus, and things that have been set up in the films and series of phase 4 will start tying more together, building on each other and eventually pay off.

As kind of slapdash and sloppy as Phase 4 has been, due to stuff being pushed back, moved around and rushed because of Covid early on screwing up their intended plans, I think it’s all going to start coming together in Phase 5.

Very clean version of the Quantumania trailer leaked. Kang looks great. Very different than his Loki appearance.

At least they will have experience of writing Kang by that point so the character should be consistent.

The most I'd accept would be another hologram-Tony giving somebody info on some backup contingency he left behind

Hologram Tony is a thing in the comics, so if true, I wager that's the route they'd go with.

As for Steve, I think the only way Chris Evans would ever come back to the MCU is if he was asked to reprise the Foxverse Johnny Storm for Secret Wars, which I think is something he wouldn't be against.
