Stargirl The Stargirl News and Discussion Thread

Rumor has it a crossover with Titans and Doom Patrol.

Which I remember hearing whispers about, but it just didn't seem conceivable! Then again, it's the multiverse, stupid! The Titans and Doom Patrol from their original shows don't necessarily have to be the same versions that would pop up in a crossover, unless you toned down the swearing.

Though you can of course make both those teams work without the mature content in their respective shows and have them work alongside Stargirl for sure.

I hope that Cameron doesn't end up becoming the villain that everyone but Courtney thinks that he is. I appreciate Courtney sticking up for him and reminding them that he's no more his father than she is hers.

Kind of seems like people lost interest in this show. (Going by the lack of comments here) I have to admit I also haven't watched an episode of this current season yet. I just didn’t feel like it with so many other great shows currently on. Also those year long breaks aren't helping, takes me out of it.

Yeah. I want to still enjoy this show, but it's not capturing my attention.

Season 3 is suffering from not having charismatic villains. Nebulous danger (such as we've had so far this season) isn't enough, nor is personified danger (such as Eclipso) that lacks swagger and charm. In Season 1, most of the ISA were charismatic and menacing, in a variety of ways, and that made their stories interesting and their performances entertaining. Maybe Mr. Bones and Helix will solidify the threat this season, but I don't expect charisma from them.

Also, the adults in Season 3 no longer behave like adults. Maybe Pat, a bit, but he's only there now to show how immature Sylvester is. The Crocks are just the comic relief neighbours, Pat and Barbara are way too forgiving of people who tried to murder millions, and Beth's parents now act like informercial hosts rather than the adults on the autism spectrum that they seemed to be in previous seasons.

I almost think that the show should explain this as the ISA's machine having a lasting effect on everybody, except that that would saddle all of the attempts at humour with tragedy.

Oh I disagree on losing interest. At least, personally. I'm very much enjoying this season and am curious to see why Sylvester has such an edge to him. His fight with the Crockers in that convenience store is a real highlight of the season for me so far.

But I imagine we'll get Mister Bones at some point. Hopefully soon.

I watch the show but it no longer excites me. Plenty of character time but....I need more superhero time and action and its obvious they aint got the budget for it.

(Re: 3x06)

Neat metaphor of the puzzle pieces being set into place to reveal a skull. That place looks like one of Dragon King’s lairs, and the breathing noises seem lizardlike. And, of course, the gloves are hiding something, although Ito and Bones would both need to stay covered to maintain mystery when the audience is watching. I guess we know who Ito is working with now.

Every culture has a traditional dish that can be brought out to speed unwanted guests on their way without giving the guests any polite way to complain of mistreatment.

I like Cameron’s grandparents, especially the grandfather who has that Skeletor-at-Christmas thing going on. He’s still evil, but he’s not dogmatic about it the way his wife is.

So finally next week is the first of a two episode arc Infinity Inc. so things will most definitely start moving forward even though I felt like last night kinda kicked it off.

I'm with a lot of you guys here and the show no longer excites me. Season 2 was a little disappointing for me but I thought the set up for this season was heading in the right direction just for nothing to happen in the first five episodes. Things are finally starting to pick up with last nights episode, but nothing about this season is working for me yet

They treated Cindy like she was some 2nd rate fighter in this current episode. I was really expecting her to go to down on Yolanda after she chopped off a lock of Cindys hair.

I thought the latest episode was more engaging. Though... Joel McHale phoned in his performance — literally. :word:

I think it is just that I am not the target audience for this show but I am finding it increasingly talky and boring. I understand many like it and I hope it goes on for them but I think it is time to jump of the bandwagon.

Yeah, the last episode was a bit of a snooze.

Sandman and Sandy were named dropped.

Also a road sign for Civic City and Opal City.

Cameos from the patients of Helix.

I think the plots are starting to feel a bit repetitive. Courtney talking people around with the power of positivity, getting trapped in the shadow realm, angsty rick, ect
