Scarlet & Violet was confirmed to be actually open world. Seen fans speculate that may mean an overhaul to the Gym Leaders where they can be challenged in any order. Of course the wish is there are 18 Gyms we can challenge too.

I get what you're saying about it actually being open world, but they worded it funny. They didn't come out and say it. It was more like "the towns were going to be integrated into the map without loading separately" or something along those lines. Makes me thing it'll technically be open but you're still going to have to battle in pre-set order.

Oh I'm not saying it will have those elements, but the fandom is wanting it now it seems. It's an interesting thought, but it would be cool to see if they could pull it off. Galar having a Major and Minor League was pretty interesting to me, but always wished we could challenge the Minor League Gyms too once the DLC came out. Of course it didn't happen, so oh well.

It’s beyond time they do better with the attack animations if it’s gonna continue to be turn based. The ability to play with others is cool. I feel like per usual I’m going water but grass is looking good too could make me switch up.

Agreed. They should have used the same battle mechanics from "Pokemon Legends: Arceus".

Also, the design for the main protagonists look ver uninspired. They look more like NPCs.

I haven't liked a protagonist design since maybe Sun & Moon. I remember not liking X/Y. I did like Gloria for the memes.

So, more baby steps in changing the core games. And at this point, just have to resign yourself that each gen is going to have a unique transformation mechanic that will never be seen again.
