With Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman having their BVS moment in 2024, do you want to see Deadpool in a X-Men movie as well? Do you still want Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool?

Who will be the MCU Deadpool?

Ryan Reynolds should stay as Deadpool for as long as he's willing to play the role.

My only concern is how they will connect this to the first two films. I hope they don't just use a lazy throwaway gag like I've seen a lot of people suggesting. I want a more substantial reason for why Deadpool is in the MCU now, something with thought put into it.

I think he should stick to doing his own thing in his own movies. His connection to the MCU doesn't require an explanation any more than his previous connection to the Fox X-Men franchise did. If there are aspects of the MCU they want to use or joke about, fine. As long as he doesn't show up in anyone else's movie, he doesn't need to make sense.

On the other hand I've always loved his banter when he's shown up in other people's books. He could be amusing in an ensemble cast. I used to love it when he would wear Jean's costume in the Xbooks.

I think Ryan Reynolds would return for Avengers: Secret Wars and he'd be in his 50 by then.

I hope Marvel Studios uses the film as the swan song for all foX actors. Wolverine and the X-Men and Deadpool need a 616 variant feature that is played by a different actor imo.

I don't think 50 is that old to be playing Deadpool. His face is covered in fake scar tissue and he's usually in full costume with a mask anyway. As long as his voice doesn't radically change, he should be good for quite a while.

Eh, not when he is doing his own stunts. Like are they going to give that duty to a stunt double?

The point is he's entering the MCU very late. 10 years after Deadpool 3, he's 57. And we know how long Marvel Studios are now releasing these Xequels.

if you're going to bring someone into the franchise for a long time Xpecially in a lead role, its more ideal imo to get someone in his late 20s to early 40s, unless that character is playing an old character.

I don't see why a stunt double would be a problem if it ever became necessary. I mean again he's always in a mask, they could go full Power Rangers if they wanted and just have Ryan dub over the double in whatever scenes they need him for, wouldn't even need fancy editing.

True, but I would prefer that those crossovers happened in Deadpool's movies rather than with him showing up in the other movies.

We didn't get a Iron Man 4, 5 and 6 neither Captain America 4, 5 and 6 with Chris Evans. Those would have been easy cash for Disney and their comics history is certainly large enough for inspiration, but they didn't do it, to possibly make room for others.

My understanding is that Evans and RDJ both left of their own accord. Plus RDJ was super expensive.

RDJ appeared in Spider-Man Homecoming and Civil War.

Disney could have squeezed an Iron man 4 and 5 before Endgame.

I also haven't heard any rumblings from Marvel that they wanted a 4th solo film for those two.

With dozen of ips getting their own film, I find it hard to believe that Marvel Studios would just pump out a Deadpool film until Reynolds say no.

RDJ appeared in Spider-Man Homecoming and Civil War.

Homecoming I get because he had very few scenes, but Civil War was half his film anyway. That movie's plot was no more Tony's than it was Steve's.
