A social satire set at an exclusive Hawaiian resort, The White Lotus follows the vacations of various hotel guests over the span of a week as they relax and rejuvenate in paradise. But with each passing day, a darker complexity emerges in these picture-perfect travelers, the hotel’s cheerful employees, and the idyllic locale itself.

Really enjoyed the first 2 episodes that have aired.

No one watching? This was a surprise for me. The ending was ok, but in general tge show was great.

Excited it's getting a season 2.

I have to admit it was a funny great show. Loved the suitcase part.

Casey Bloys on More ‘Mare of Easttown,’ What’s Next for ‘White Lotus’ and Rival Gripes Over HBO/HBO Max’s Emmy Tally

Bloys said White had an idea for a second season from the very beginning, “and I will say, my initial reaction was basically questioning, ‘How would you do it? How would it work?’ When he told me his ideas at a different resort, I said, ‘Oh, okay, that makes perfect sense.’ I think anytime you get Mike kind of locked into an idea he’s excited about really terrific stuff happens.”

The second season “could be somewhere in Europe,” Bloys hinted, and added that it’s still not determined whether “White Lotus” will be classified as a drama or an anthology series. That may come down to casting. “Maybe there’s a character that pops in here or there, but it’s going to be mostly a new cast, new narrative,” he said. “Mike is thinking and possibly writing now.”

As for the timing for when a second installment might appear: “There’s a lot to do, he’s got to settle on a location,” Bloys said. “But one thing that Mike does, he moves very quickly. So we’ll see.”

This was really good. Kept me guessing all the way up until the end as to who was going to be in the box.

Aubrey Plaza! Okay I’ll definitely be checking out season 2.

Between Adam DiMarco here and Harvey Guillen on WWDITS, I’m loving watching supporting actors from The Magicians end up on super buzzy shows.

Tom Hollander! That guy is great in everything.

Hell yes. Theo James looks like he’ll be a suitable replacement D-bag for Jake Lacy.

“Whenever I stay at a White Lotus, I always have a memorable time.”

Calling it: S3 will be a prequel of Tanya’s first time at a White Lotus.

Loving the season so far, it’s just such a shame Theo and will won’t hook up. Aubrey is heaps of fun though

This season has kinda been so-so for me thus far. I’m not really liking most of the characters, and the leftovers from season one (Coolidge and her husband) seem like they’ve just become awful people in between seasons. But maybe the new cast will grow on me. The shots of Italy are gorgeous though. And Lucia is amazing eye candy.:hrt:

I'm liking this season, not as much as the first because to me it's just not the same without Murray Bartlett but I'm curious to see where it all goes in the finale. But I do have to say that this easily could have been a 6-episode season like the first. A lot of the first couple of episodes could have been whittled down because it felt like too much of a slow burn IMO.

Yeah, I’m glad I stuck with it even though I wasn’t feeling any of the characters initially. I’ve really grown to love Lucia and Mia. And most of the others grew on me as well. But I do agree that Murray Bartlett was just too good in the first season and no one comes close to him. But I’m intrigued to see how it all wraps up.
