Cable Cord Cutters Thread: Sling, Hulu, YouTube TV, Netflix, and more!

Those bastards at Netflix finally have HD for their base plan.

Both Basic and Basic with ads will have HD starting in November it looks like. I might try out the basic with ads plan and see if the ads annoy me that much.

I may do the $9.99 basic plan now, but that 1 screen will kill sharing with family.

Finally! I've never got upper plan. The base one is fine for me. If I ever want to watch a higher quality movie, I'd most likely visit some of my usual torrent sources, especially when I expanded them with https://www.firesticktricks.com/best-vpn-torrenting.html. Nevertheless, these are good news to hear as I still have my favorite shows on Netflix.

Crackle is no longer owned by Sony and is now owned by Chicken Soup for the Soul Media who are turning it and other free streamers into Hallmark and Pureflix.

I can now confirm they are there, so now Hulu Live vs YouTube TV debate is down to price, Disney+ and Hulu library, DVR, and if want AMC and certain sports channels.

Just a heads up for anyone interested in Peacock: if you cancel their pay tier, expect spam calls from Comcast to convince you to come back to them.

if i'm watching on my pc, i don't see ads because i have ublock.
if i'm watching on my tv, it's 1-2 90 second slots at the most
I never watch stuff on my computer, and even just 30 seconds is enough to kill the flow. :funny:

i'll play stuff in the background sometimes, usually SVU for the noise while paying bills, emails etc

btw, Peacock is offering 12 months at $.99 a month for a black friday promo.
