finally got around to playing it after I got the 'new' suit by doctor Octavius I was dabbling in the DLC from the old season pass I really like it

I'm guessing the Xbox button prompts show up in the game by default? If so, go to Steam settings then Controller tab and click General Controller Settings.

Simply tick the Use Nintendo Button Layout to flip the buttons.

do you guys know if you play PS4 version of it on a PS5 does it let you upgrade to the PS5 one?

Unfortunately there's no free upgrade to the PS5 version. Actually I don't even think you can upgrade with the PS4 disc. I think the only way to get it on the PS5 still is by buying the Miles Morales Ultimate Edition on PS5.

They really should add a less convoluted manner of buying the PS5 version already, the way it works now made sense when MM launched, but now it's just stupid to not give it its own store page.

I agree. It's possible they've been waiting until closer to the release of Spider-Man 2 to release it on its own digitally.

I'd rather they keep everything as close to the chest as possible until they're 100% certain they're making the Fall release window. My pet peeve is when a studio shows off a lot of footage only for the game to be pushed back another year or more. Of course I don't think this is the case with Insomniac, I'm just superstitious about it.

It's not a huge surprise if a large game with a ton of moving parts needs more time, but Insomniac are probably the best in the business for time efficiency for the number of people they have.

Figured out how to force the game to give me the proper button inputs (Nintendo>Xbox) and restarted. The proper buttons makes it less headache inducing. Still not a huge fan of the combat, especially the specific moves needed for certain enemy types, but I am getting into the flow of it.

A friend of mine lent me his PS4. Been wanting to play the Spider-man game for years so I bought a used copy for $15, and have been trying to play it for the past several hours.

Instead of letting me play it keeps saying "copying application", and then eventually gives me an error message. I've turned it on and off again and still can't get it to work.

I've even gone so far as to subscribe to the PlayStation store for $15 to try and see if I can download it and play that way but it's still giving me error messages. So now I'm out $30 and still unable to play. Any suggestions?

He hasn't played this console for about a year. I created my own profile and I think he already has Spider-man installed. Should I uninstall it and then try again?

Always worth trying hard console reboot and uninstalling and reinstalling. Hopefully application is a reference to the game install and will be fixed by doing that. If you’re online it should allow any necessary console or game updates to redownload too.

I'm curious if we will see Sandman, Mysterio and Lizard as those were easter eggs in the first place. I also wonder if we are gonna see Morbius, Hunger, Carnage, Shriek, Riot and Spot since they are now in the Sony movies.
