Pokémon It's the Pokémon Thread

Bayo or Pokémon. Those are my choices. :funny:

So, looking at some comments on Pokemon, Game Freak and The Pokemon Company needs to do something about their production schedule.

So the theme for the new starters seems to be:

Festivals?

Okay I'm a bit disappointed at a few things so far:

The gyms are not scaled to your team levels like I was hoping and it looks like the Ace of the Gym teams are previous Pokémon with a Tera type to overcome weakness. That was clever with Brassius, but they use it for every Gym Leader. Lastly, I'm not a fan that we still don't have an Electric Elite Four. I actually don't care for many of the new Pokémon which is a first for me on the series.

Okay I can honestly say, I don't like many of the new Pokémon this generation. Sorry not sorry there. Tandemaus and Maushold are probably the ones that broke the camel's back for me. Houndstone is up there as well.

I unknowingly experienced the Elite Four/Champion glitch where their music only loops the first 10 seconds. This is probably the buggiest Pokémon game I've ever played.

Sounds like Nintendo is going to make Game Freak fix the bugs.

Cetitan and Annihilape were contenders for sure here.

Geeta was a terrible champion like she and Diantha are competing for worst one. Glimmora should have been her starting Pokémon, Kingambit her ace, Dondozo or Palafin replace her Veluza, Cetitan instead of Avalugg, and Gogoat with another Grass-type.

So things I've always been bothered by the Pokémon Type Chart... Why doesn't Ice resist Water or Water weak to Ice, Electric super effective against Steel, Poison super effective against Bug?

Team Star has some of the best music in the series.

Seriously these could have been used for the League matches which were jazz inspired. But these are amazing.

So I guess Miraidon is the more popular legendary...

Recreated my old Kanto team in Sword and Shield:

I'm so bored.

And I just made minor tweaks to her team and I think she's much more challenging now:

Did the new game feel unfinished to anyone else?

Of the games I've played, I've liked this one the best for its mechanics like catching and exploration, but the backstory and history just seem unfinished. Galar seemed a little more thought out. Just as an example, the shrines could use a little more explanation/exploration and the stakes well I wouldn't mind some NPC's offering clues to some of them or history from the different towns. All of the exposition came from Raifort which seems like a wasted opportunity especially when they tell you to start you're on a treasure hunt for most of the game play. They also don't do a great job of explaining the classes either. Other things they could develop IMHO are the ruins history, and the professor's and Arven's story need more "stuff". They're part of the ultimate ending of the game and Penny got more development.

Seems like they tried to take a ton of cues from BotW, which I liked, but ran out of time. Also I swear I hear some Zelda audio at times.

If only they can borrow BotW's physics engine. :o
