Its been eight years since Iceman graced the big screen, how long are we going to wait for his fifth movie role?

Who should be MCU Iceman?

When Bobby masters his powers I want to see him iced up regularly, using ice slides all the time to get about and creating different kinds of ice weapons. He can still start as an inexperienced student but I’d like him to progress faster this time.

If they start with the White Queen in the Hellfire club as a villain, she could take him over like the comics to show the full extent of his powers that he hasn’t been using.

He's 18 now, but by the time the casting begins , he'll probably been in his mid 20s

Stranger Things Noah Schnapp as a rookie, late teens Bobby Drake

If they go young he could be a decent option.

Out of the iconic X-Men, he, Jubilee and Kitty should be the younger ones.

For Jubilee and Kitty I don’t mind them going extra young for. Wouldn’t mind Iceman being a little older than them, even if still a teenager himself.

Most likely, Bobby would have joined the X-Men before Jubilation and Kitty so it makes sense that he would be older than them.

In DOFP, it's clear that Bobby can turn into an organic ice creature.

Anyway, in The Last Stand (set in 2000), when he was much younger, it's not entirely sure if he just covered himself with an organic ice "encasing" structure or turned into an organic ice creature as well.
In TLS, you cannot see his "human silhouette" inside the ice, but you never know.
What do you think about it?

No matter the universe we're talking about, Iceman is always a clear Omega Level.

Hopefully he can turn into an organic ice creature as you say and gradually show more powers over the films. I’d like him to be iced up often in scenes and using ice slides and ice weapons in battles from the first film. Hopefully can create more exotic ice structures as time goes on.

Yes, that's my hope too. Or maybe we're gonna see the "snowman" of the first issues of the O5 LOL.

I'm still undecided about what he did at the end of The Last Stand. Organic ice creature or just "organic ice armour/exoskeleton"? What do you see?

Hahah, the snowman would be a disaster. :funny:

Kind of hard to tell as he doesn’t move a lot in that short scene. Anyway hoping for a big improvement on that lol.

DofP was already a lot better and I think/hope the MCU version will be that much better again.

Yes, the Ice Form was displayed for a short amont of time in TLS. It was beautifully done anyway.

We can assume that Bobby perfected the transformation over time, until the DOFP era.

Yep. And now time for a further massive jump in quality with the decade plus of tech advancement from DofP till whenever the MCU X-Men film comes out. :cwink:

I like the Iceman look in X-Men: Days of Future Past. I just hope we would see him in ice form in a good amount of screentime.
Yeah, I was positively surprised by that back then. I still want improvements though lol. Getting him in iced up form for longer is what I want most. I think it would be cool to see him like that in some chilled out non-battle scenes too.

I think CGI for humanoid creatures has not improved that much since then, generally speaking.
Iceman looked terrific in both The Last Stand (2006!) and DOFP.
Can't wait to see MCU Iceman having his "ice form" for most of the movie... hopefully, NOT the Snowman! LMAO.

Well, now that he's got his own thread I'm going to go ahead and drop my ideal casting for Bobby:

Noah Galvin.

I hope they let him have a boyfriend, even if it seems doomed to be a vague, largely offscreen relationship. Rictor would be fun to see him with.

Professor Hulk and the Avatar crew look like real living breathing beings with textures that are less obvious and a full personality rather than vehicles to display powers. These characters can have a ton of screen time and lines and focus without having the budget blown to show them for 30 seconds at a time. Iceman did look great in DOFP but I think they will be able to show a lot more of his ice form if they choose to this time rather than have him pop up just for the intro. Definitely no Snowman haha.

I hope he Will be a comic relief in mcu version

Thor mcu is a comics relief
They turn grandmaster into an idiot
Mantis into an idiot
Drax.. never mind

Many serious characters in comics become funny characters in movies
Now if they want a crazy man lets introduce Iceman in mcu
