Couldn't think of a better title as I have yet to decide on the official name of my comic book company so here we are.

Basically, for years I've been working on comic book characters. For about 20 years, to be exact, but I didn't start making anything worthwhile until about 2015. From then I've crafted a bunch of stories with a massive universe of characters. I haven't released these stories yet & have just been creating a significant amount until I fully figure out how I want to introduce them all in the most amicable fashion possible. But, for the time being, I have been working with artists to breathe some life into these characters.

My comic book universe will center around a race of Titans (some of the major players of said race being presented below) although I have a multitude of characters ranging from street level to cosmic and beyond.

The characters below are all related, which is the flow I tried to keep by introducing people to the main members of the Titanus Amora bloodline.

So we have Wildcard, who isn't a Titan but absolutely a homicidal maniac. Emperiex, the very first Titan and the "mother" of all Titans as it were. And then we have Kanan Cross, who, along with Wildcard, fathered Thane Grim, whose son is Kong Grim. The idea is that this lineage provides for extremely malleable Titan forms so you really don't ever know what you're going to get.

The idea is that these Titan forms need to be taken on to prevent an overload of energy within these immensely powerful beings. I'll also preface this by saying that these still aren't their final "final" forms and that there's still a lot more to see, especially in regards to Thane. ;)

Also, keep in mind that these characters range anywhere from 700-6,000 feet so I'm not taking the term lightly. And in the cases of Thane and Kong, even here is just the tip of the iceberg in that regard.

Without further ado, the first piece of art was done by our very own Killustrator/MadderMaximus while the others have been done by my friend & partner in crime Ryan Wade.

Here's also a video to said art as well:

And another I made to display some unused + early concept art for Wildcard and her main rival Blackout.

The early art and storyboard was done by BoredGuy, which I thank him for because those early pieces helped motivate me to keep striving for more with the characters.

And here are two new pieces, both depicting the Titan King Ti'Kar, whom, as you may have guessed, is related to the others shown (son to Emperiex, father to Kanan Cross, grandfather to Thane Grim, etc., etc.)

Final art should be coming soon (about the next week or so) but aside from Thane and Wildcard, I'm probably starting to feel the most excited/proud of this design. Really looking forward to seeing it polished and finished, especially with what I have lined up for the character.

Whereas Kanan and Thane are more prone to feeding their anger, Ti'Kar is essentially the perfect example of what a cosmic/universal leader should be, as the end of his rule is what begins a vast assortment of cosmic disturbances that were otherwise too afraid to act because of his presence.

So, in terms of characterization, basically imagine if Mufasa and Legendary Godzilla had a secret love child. This would be it (or my interpretation anyway haha).

Primordial, massive, powerful and badass. That was what I was primarily going for when creating Ti'Kar.

Here's an early sketch of Kanan Cross without a snout. I debated for a while on whether or not I wanted to keep him like this but I felt like something was missing. I wanted to keep a very humanoid base but make him a bit more animalistic. Even now as much as I love this I don't regret having the snout added in.

Blackout (Unused Concept)

Here's an early concept I had while working with another artist for Blackout, who is the adversary to Wildcard pictured above. I want to keep something that's simple yet sophisticated in its own right. This doesn't feel quite right but there are potentially some elements that may remain going forward.

I'll likely unveil the actual look for Blackout some time later this year. It's a character I have extremely big plans for as I've spent years making sure there's a rich mythology for people to digest & enjoy.

I know a lot of people will expect a Batman/Joker dynamic between Blackout/Wildcard, which is partially a correct assertion, but it'll go so much deeper than that.

At the end of the day, Wildcard is far closer to Pennywise than she is to Joker, honestly. Is she an inter-dimensional demon? No, not quite. But she is something out of the ordinary. Superhuman? Perhaps. Supernatural? Most definitely.

What's going to separate Wildcard from Joker is ultimately the fact that she does have potential to affect things on a cosmic scale if she desires to. That and the fact that she gives birth to arguably the most powerful Titan to exist (Thane Grim) in my multiverse.

So, yeah, we're firing on all cylinders here. Or trying to, anyway. haha

Dragon God Thane Grim

This is the latest. Not finished quite yet but we're closing in finalizing this design. Thane is essentially one of the only Titans that has multiple forms, which represent him at different levels. But this is the pen-ultimate and the form he tries to hold off of using (fear of losing control & all that jazz).

Really excited about this one & can't wait to see what the finished version looks like. I'm super proud of everything we've done with this character thus far & I just hope going forward that audiences will enjoy him as much as I enjoy telling stories around him.

Hey man, glad to see you're still workin at this, keep it up!

Thanks bro! Doing my best to make it as good as it can possibly be. Of course it helps that along the way awesome individuals like you have helped me in numerous ways, and for that I'll always be grateful.

Before we dive super deep into more new art, I decided to play around with some colors to fool around with some themes that'll be touched upon later on.

The ones I liked most ended up being the ones I did for Emperiex. And they fit the character since she's one of the few Titans capable of full on shape-shifting. So perhaps I can use the idea of different color schemes as something potentially being indicative of her mood in that particular moment.

I do have others, but since they are broader themes that go beyond a mere recolor, I figured I'd save them and later down the line just get some new pieces done that explore them properly.

This is the final design, although not colorized yet. But, my artist Ryan, per usual, truly came through. I loved the initial sketch a lot and although it was great, I just wanted a few alterations. What he ultimately came up with this exceeded even my highest of expectations.

And it is absolutely fitting for how I utilize this form of the character. Like, I can't even put into words how happy this art makes me. I appreciate EVERY single piece of art posted here because all of these artists are amazing, incredibly talented & just dope human beings.

But this piece of art? It put FIRE in my veins that I haven't felt since the Wildcard portrait was done. :jd:

Decided to play around with some different colors for the younger Thane Grim model/design. I actually like how these turned out.

I doubt I'll ever actually change his primary color from being red, but it's just nice to explore the other possibilities that could've been.

The Eradicator

This monster is exactly what it's designed to look like. A beast that's just as much a Titan Slayer as it is an actual Titan (or a mutant of a subspecies, anyway). Something that gets its joy from fighting and destroying whatever is in it's path. We've still got a little ways to go as this isn't the final design. But I love what's been done here because each stage perfectly shows how the character evolves over time from a multitude of factors.

The Eradicator is meant to be a beast that's been around for hundreds of thousands of years if not longer. He can die, but he has the ability to resurrect. He's in a constant state of evolution so his power and capabilities are always growing.

Not totally invulnerable, but damn close to it. I'd even go as far as to say you could look at this character as something of a hybrid of Victor Crowley & Destoroyah but scaled up 10-30x even the biggest version of the latter when he's in full Titan mode.

The one thing deadlier than this beast is the one who controls it. But we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. :p

Also, here is a new updated version of all the character art in video form for anyone interested.

Damien Black / Avatar

upload_2022-10-23_11-25-43.jpeg

The third and final child of Kanan Cross and Wildcard and younger brother to the twins (Thane and Adiris Grim), Damien is a cold blooded psychopathic killing machine.

I know, I know, in this concept here he shares an all too obvious resemblance to a certain pale faced babysitter murderer. :p But we're working hard now to bring a new design that better captures the essence of what this character is.

Damien will be an interesting story because he's not a carbon copy of the Shape. He starts off seemingly normal, but I wanted to toy with the idea that he's been a murderer his entire life. And certain circumstances lead to him eventually stepping fully into that role and turning away from all of his humanity.

Wildcard hides (or tries to) his birth from Kanan & everyone else, so Damien is raised in a normal household and his abilities don't even manifest until he's well past his 20's. But the idea is he was born to be a killer. He enjoys it, and in being raised to a more mythical status, it leads him to some very interesting places.

I'm honestly really excited about the prospects with this character & I'm really looking forward to seeing what we can create. This concept was from a year ago & we kind of decided to work on other things. But now this is where our focus is at & I think the final result is going to be something really spectacular.

The official final version of this beautiful monstrosity & how he will appear in present day. Very happy with how this turned out and, like pretty much every design, it ended up being 100x better than anything I could have ever imagined.

Just a quick & simple concept poster I put together a couple of weeks ago while working on some other logos and projects.

This is for a horror project I've spent years trying to get right. Took until 2018 for me to finally write a complete story I'm happy with.

The short of it is a long time ago my brother & I were watching Rob Zombie's Halloween and my brother commented on the lack of notable female slasher villains in cinema. So, I set about trying to create a decent enough story surrounding a female villain that could stand out from the others.

Did I succeed? Only time will tell. I'd like to put the film together for it in the next few years, but it's not at the front of what I need done so it could be further down the road.

Either way, I'll sleep well at night knowing that no matter what, this will be a standalone project. As long as it ends up being something worthy of people's time, I'm happy. No sequel, no franchise, none of that. Just one solid horror flick that purposely leaves certain things in the air for the audience to ponder and fill in with their own answers. Kinda like the original Black Christmas, I suppose.

Here is the revamped design of Damien Black. To say this is closer to what I imagined him as would be an understatement. This perfectly captures what I pictured for this character & it excites me that it now exists for other people to see.

As crazy as it sounds, after I had the story elements down I thought of what it'd be like to mix elements of Michael Myers with elements of Godzilla and here we are. Of course there's also some inspiration from Frankenstein and Two-Face thrown in as well a bit of the Undertaker from the mid '90s during his purple glove run.

The suit, while designed to look like a somewhat traditional almost mob-esque suit, is actually a very specialized attire. It was originally worn by a polymorph superhero but was taken by Damien, so it is capable of expanding to fit his proportions even when fully into his Avatar state (hehe).

No words can describe how much I love this design. This character is 100% a passion project and even now we're only just scratching the surface of what I have planned for him.

Still not completely finalized, but hopefully now me saying his Titan form is Michael Myers meets Godzilla makes more sense now. I'm really happy with this design & extremely proud of the evolution of this character. Ryan understood exactly what I wanted out of it and has went above and beyond yet again.

What I love about the design is that you can see the family resemblance between him and Thane Grim, which I wanted to be somewhat evident since they are full blooded siblings.

The only missing piece to this family puzzle now is Adiris Grim, who is the fraternal twin to Thane and of course Damien's second elder sibling.

Chances are I'll premiere some Adiris related artwork sometime in early 2023.

So yeah, here we are. This is just the beginning of what I want to show with this character but an utterly phenomenal start nonetheless.

Super proud of how this character design ended up coming out. I will admit it does feel refreshing knowing I now have art done for all three siblings and they all have their own distinctive features.

Here, with Adiris, I wanted her look to feel as vibrant as possible. She's a character with a lot of baggage and a lot of conflict, so whether she's good or evil isn't quite so cut & dry. And I think one of the best things about both her and Thane will be how their relationship develops over time.

I'll likely end up experimenting a lot with her look as time goes on, but for starters keeping it simple seemed like the best avenue.

Before I release the finished look of Damien Black in his "Samhain" form, I figured I'd give him a musical piece ala what John Carpenter did with the Shape. I didn't try to follow the musical cues of the Shape Stalks, I just wanted something that felt unique to my character. Because, let's be honest, there's no way in Hell I could ever top what Carpenter initially did, which saw him return and make it even better (alongside Cody & Daniel) than anyone could've ever imagined.

Also just made some quick mock-ups of Wildcard for fun as well as a fun little side by side of her and Adiris to further show off their similarities.

Not totally new, rather just an alternate version of the image where I darkened Thane's colors a bit and added the neon border. Just thought it looked cool & made for a hell of an alternate photo.

Marisa Shapiro / Weaver

I've wanted to create a character with spider based powers for years now, so Weaver here is me finally managing to accomplish that.

With Weaver, I just want her to be a "feel good" character that people can have fun with. As time goes on, people will see there are a myriad of differences between her and Peter Parker/Spider-Man.

Stan Lee will always be an inspiration of mine, so it's been important for me to differentiate the character in every way possible outside of the powerset (and surprisingly within it, too, actually) just out of respect to the hallmark he created.

This is a character I've been working on for four years and she's come out far better than I initially imagined. For sure can't wait to explore all of the possibilities with this character.

Very happy with the final version of this one. I was extremely worried for obvious reasons, but I also trusted my artist to be able to make something that was unique in its own right yet also respectably familiar.
