Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

Reed did an obvious nod to Back To The Future II with the "small pizza becomes big pizza" gag.

Somebody sent Campea two images from this and they made his jaw drop. One had somebody not seen in any Ant-Man marketing. He's not quite sure about the authenticity of them yet.

At least he wasn't dumb enough to post them publicly like he did the Spider-Man No Way Home pic with the three leads together in the third act (he literally spoiled the third act).

I saw one of the NWH images (screenshot from his tweet) and it was such poor quality that I can't fault him for thinking it was fake.

Sidenote, he says that gets sent stuff occasionally. I'm sure that's true but John Rocha said in the Fall on his Hot Mic show with Jeff Sneider that Campea's wife Ann works for Marvel. If that's true, I think some of the stuff is the kind that "gets passed around the office" but he's wording it so that his wife doesn't get in trouble.

Sidenote2, he's carrying such a grudge to Disney about a bad Disneyland experience and last year's D23, that he has actually threatened to reveal a lot of stuff that e.g. Marvel does not want released. "Because **** Disney!" :funny: If his wife Ann indeed does work for Marvel, I think she's had to talk him out of doing so a few times.

As much as I enjoy some of his editorials, I can't believe Campea was dumb enough to post those NWH pics. What an a******. I hope he keeps it to himself this time.

I mean... his argument for the Spider-Trio photo being faked was because of the "lighting in Tobey Maguire's crotch", which people made fun of him for even then. Still think that was just him trying to do damage control and failing catastrophically at it.

Personally I want as many spoilers and pics as possible. Discovering the ending beforehand is part of the fun.

I agree on that, and since my IMAX doesn’t show it when it is released , I won’t watch it in theaters

So, in anticipation of this movie, I rewatched the final episode of Loki. And something that's been bewildering me since that finale first aired, finally clicked...

That part when thunder was heard outside the Citadel, and He Who Remains announced that "the threshold" has been crossed, and he no longer has the knowledge of what occurs beyond that point.

Something had to of happened within the "sacred timeline" to cause that... but what??

I think I finally figured it out. I'll put it in a spoiler tag, even though I don't think it should be considered a spoiler.

Kang the Conqueror, in Quantumania, is obviously going to get free and escape the Quantum Realm (Hence Avengers: Kang Dynasty). I think it's that very moment, when he escapes into the "sacred timeline" that will cause that rift. He Who Remains was suppose to be the last remaining variant of Kang, holding the timeline in place (Hence his name). He thought the only way to release his other variants was by killing him... but he was wrong. Another variant breaking free into the timeline, would certainly be considered crossing a threshold.

IDK, now that I've typed this all out, I feel like ya'll are gonna be like "Well, duh! We've known this for months!" :funny:

As much as I hope it was foreshadowed there…the MCU has proven to be not as observative as fans are.
The earthquake in the Atlantic Ocean in Endgame was really just an earthquake

I have a feeling, that the movie will be one of the best after Phase 3 but will bomb badly.
Idk how it is in your countries, but I haven’t found an IMAX near me, that will show it on release day. The presale-dates in the other smaller rooms are not sold out. My theater-chain has a ranking on the site, which ticket-link for a movie is frequently clicked: Quatumania is at 7% (Avatar at 60%, Super Bowl streaming at 18%, Magic Mike 3 at 8%)

For us fans this movie will be awesome, but the general audience is more like…ehhh why should I see an Ant-Man movie?

This movie is tracking to make $120 million domestically for opening weekend. It also has very little competition in the weeks after. It's not gonna make a billion but it's definitely not going to bomb either.

I rewatched the first movie yesterday. This is such an underapreciated gemstone.
Hope Quantumania has a heist-plot in it.

I don't think she works or has worked for Disney/Marvel. By looking at her LinkedIn profile, the closest she ever came to it was she worked at Hasbro, which does have the toy contracts for Disney/Marvel. That might have been how she had some supposed inside information.

I think she worked at Apple previously (according to John) but, if she's working for Marvel, maybe she's omitting that from her LinkedIn profile? The last time I looked at it to try and verify what Rocha said, it had some advertising agency? Maybe that company does/did work for Marvel?. I think Campea has said that she works multiple jobs.

World Premiere is tonight! I know social media reactions don't typically mean anything, but I'm still excited to see what people think!

I can't even reserve tickets for this because there's only two evening screenings available on the nationwide theater chain's site. The earlier one ends just when the last bus back home leaves. I'm hoping more screenings will be available next week.
