Damien Black / The Avatar (Samhain Form)

I didn't think it was possible but I like this design just as much as Thane's "Dragon God" form, if not a little more so. Since Damien shares Michael Myers' affinity for Halloween, I figured a while back that I'd want to give him another state that is beyond his "Avatar" form.

For anyone who may be wondering, the individual killed here is actually the "first" Avatar. But we'll get to more on that later. The short of it is being the Avatar of death is a title and status that has been held by others besides Damien Black. Similar to the concept of Myers being the Shape of evil in the form of a man.

Damien, however, is very much supernatural and a cosmic entity. He's actually one of the most powerful characters I have right now.

Lastly, to coincide with showing off Damien's Samhain form, I also decided to put this together recently.

Decided to mess around & see what Wildcard would look like as an anime character & I honestly love the results.

Wildcard (Anime Version)

Kind of sacrificed the clown aspect of her character in doing this but I'm okay with it because it'll probably be among the very few times she's seen in a normal-esque light. Overall, there's definitely still a lot of experimenting I want to do with the Wildcard character as time goes on.

I have some other anime styled designs for other characters like Damien Black that I'll eventually unveil. But this Wildcard variation is definitely among my favorites of what I've been able to do so far.

Adiris Grim (Anime Versions)

Was only natural to see to it that Adiris Grim got the anime style treatment alongside Wildcard and Damien Black. Once again, I'm extremely pleased with the results, even if her clown-esque features (like Wildcard's anime counterpart) were pretty much taken away entirely.

Once I get the main universe 100% established I'd totally be down one day to do something completely anime inspired.

Grim Family Collage (Kanan Cross, Wildcard, Thane Grim, Adiris Grim, Damien Black)



Somehow nearly forgot to post this collage. I figured it was necessary to put all the figureheads of this family together in one image to really make them being family sink in.

Honestly I'm just so grateful that these characters actually exist in a way for others to see now. It truly blows my mind how far I've come with each of these characters. Started working on this family way back in 2018 and here we are now.

Definitely one hell of a bloodline, especially when I think about them all (save for Wildcard) being linked back to the Ti'Kar character.

Here are some pictures of a child version of Tabitha Shivani I cooked up last week. Not a superhero/supervillain character but more so straight horror/slasher villain/serial killer.







Eventually I'll circle back around to this character and have him to do a proper full body shot but I figured this would be cool enough for now as a concept and starting point.

So, it's no secret at all that I had Wildcard modeled after Bryce Dallas Howard. She's essentially the face of my entire company, as she has been ever since MadderMaximus drew that dope piece for me back in 2016. With all that being said, I decided to play around a bit today with some AI related stuff and here's what I came out with.

And, just for extra added fun, I wanted to see how Wildcard could potentially have looked decked out in red. But, blue will always be her primary color. Idk...it just feels like it off-sets the pale/chalk-white skin better than red would have.

Ironically, of any Wildcard related art I've done or had done, this is probably the closest to the real life Bryce Dallas Howard any of them will ever get solely because of the red hair. haha

Well, it's no secret that A.I. technology is now greater than it's ever been. And as such, I was able to use it to create the images of Wildcard above. And for that, I'm grateful for how far it's come along because I honestly never expected them to end up looking as authentic as they do.

However, even with that being said, I wouldn't ever want to replace having a real artist behind my character designs. So aside from showing people more of what to expect from Wildcard in terms of her wardrobe and general appearance, I also feel it's useful in developing some rough concept ideas for other heroes I have.

Between my Titans, other superheroes, street level characters and everything in-between or beyond, I have a lot of characters to unveil. And, until our team is larger and more efficient by way of numbers, I feel A.I. will be great in allowing me to show you all rough ideas of things I've been working on for years & years now.

With the exception of Diamond Dash, all of these characters here are heroes. Phantom is a main player in my universe that is about as close to being a Titan as you can get without actually being one.

Violet is one of my main speedster characters, to which Diamond Dash is one of her main adversaries.

Skorpio is a second generation hero & one character I'm still in the process of fully figuring her out.

The last of the bunch, Caveira, is the daughter of Thane Grim. Like Thane and Kanan, you can see the Samoan/Polynesian tattoos, which links back to their heritage. Caveira is also the older sister of my version of Kong & I think the best way to describe her relationship with Thane is that it's going to be very similar to the Kratos/Atreus dynamic from the last two God of War games.

Both Caveira and Kong are part Titan and part Atlantean, so there's a lot to unpack with each.

All in all, am definitely excited to get more characters out there officially but for now it's nice to at least have some super close concepts of what I want to ultimately push out there.

King Kong Grim (Older) (Concept)

This is another one of those cases where I was able to literally pull out the exact image I had in my head.

These images are essentially exactly how my version of Kong will look once he's older and a more seasoned leader. Whereas his grandfather Kanan will primarily utilized bio-electricity and his father Thane will make use of cosmic hellfire, our Kong's power is more akin to gamma radiation.

I figured adding the ram horns to his design would be another way of making this Kong truly stand out from others. Even as a youth my Kong is nearly three times the size of Monsterverse Kong. As an adult he'll follow the tradition of my other Titans being God of War scaled.

Needless to say, I'm super excited to see just how different I can make this Kong. So far, being a Titan, Atlantean, human hybrid with gamma-esque radiation powers and ram horns is a pretty good start, I'd say.

Been playing around with more ideas for my Kong, which is where the red variant above came from. The other three are where the character will end up as an older, more grizzled Titan. Next up I need to get some conceptual pieces together of how he'll look in human form since I have yet to ever actually do so.

I created Wildcard to be pure evil along the lines of the Joker, Green Goblin, etc. but I'm now 100% convinced she will end up being the cure for coulrophobia for a lot of people.

In all seriousness, though, Wildcard is probably the character I'm most proud to have created, followed by Thane, which is funny considering they're mother and son. I've had a lot of fun exploring different concepts for the character & when things really switch gears I truly hope people enjoy watching this character as much as I've enjoyed writing her.

Ti'Kar (Super Saiyan)

I got curious to see what some of my characters would look like as Dragon Ball Z characters & these were hands down the coolest results I got. Was just something I did for fun to test the waters. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised.

I'd love to scrounge up more of these down the line but for now, I figured it best to be happy with these and just leave well enough alone.

Bram Grim

Bram Grim (Full Throttle Titan Form)

The full blooded younger brother of Kanan Cross and the second son of the Titan Ti'Kar. He's a necromancer and essentially the "precursor" to Damien Black in a way, except he's not a full on villain like his nephew.

My wrestling purists will recognize that his look takes a lot of inspiration from that of the Undertaker. Given how big of an impact 'Taker has had on my lives and others, I figured this would be a nice way to pay tribute to him, especially since he's literally my first wrestling memory ever.

All in all, this is another character I'm vastly looking forward to. The concept of his Titan form is essentially what I have in mind when he goes beyond his regular Titan state. Something that pushes more into the extra-terrestrial part of his lineage.

Kanan Cross (Base Form)

So happy these came out the way I did. Along with the very first picture of Kanan in his full Titan form from my artist Ryan, these all perfectly capture how I've envisioned Kanan looking for years.

The idea is that the bigger he gets, the more his hair essentially "disappears" as opposed to him still having dreadlocks in his initial transformed state & full Titan form.

Also wanted Kanan to be far closer to Ti'Kar when fully transformed, whereas Bram won't look as much like their father. Their third brother Nighthawk (who shares a different, normal human father) won't have a Titan form at all, however. But he will have powers as their mother is a meta-human, as are her sisters.

The Grim family is so much larger than what I've shown thus far. On the human side, it's essentially a legion of black + Samoan individuals each with their own special abilities.

Courtesy of Wildcard, though, Thane & Adiris Grim, Damien Black and our King Kong, while of course black & Samoan, will also share Italian and German ancestry among a couple others that I won't reveal quite yet.

A character who will serve as Wildcard's right hand for years as she goes up against Blackout time and time again. He's essentially her male version of a Harley Quinn, but without the relationship aspect. So I guess with that being said he'd be closer to Bob from Batman '89. Cares about his boss, the two almost seem like friends & he understands what he needs to do. Is mostly competent but not necessarily the smartest around.

He's a lot of fun.

When I said I followed the Michael Myers approach, I meant it. So it was always a natural that Damien, when not transformed, would be the most normal looking dude possible.

Did these just for fun last week because I was curious how Thane would look if he were strictly gamma powered. And also because Hulk did give me a lot of inspiration early on when I was crafting Thane's character.

Can't beat the original but hey, Thane still looks good in green so I'll take it.

Cassandra Porter / Blackout

It's been too long and I need to finally show more of what's to be expected from Blackout since she is a major player in my comic book universe. And these images above pretty much perfectly illustrate what you can expect from this character.

Given that Cassandra is an orphan and that Wildcard is her primary nemesis, most people would expect a very Batman-esque vibe from her. But no, she's actually closer to Black Panther than she is either Batman or Iron Man.

Cassandra is far more emotionally stable than Bruce Wayne typically is & certainly leagues above Stark in terms of maturity generally. She is next in a long line of vigilante heroes, as this is something her family has been rooted in for many, many generations.

However, members of the Porter family do not typically assume the same identity, so from generation to generation they create their own codenames, personas, etc.

This also makes the dynamic between Wildcard & Blackout extremely different to Batman/Joker. Because it spans multiple generations and doesn't start with Blackout & Wildcard, but it does go deeper than ever with them.
