Shazam Black Adam spin off with The Rock

I wouldn't be surprised if we see a hard reboot after next years movie, doubt we'd even see Shazam! 3.
I highly doubt we do ether as shazam is closely tied to the current justice league actors

At this time, it points to a hard reboot... which I fear could hurt the remaining movies.

Only question is, does it reboot into the Reeves universe using those rules of physics and aesthetics but keep well away from each other?

Rewatching it again for the 2nd time and still was a mistake to not even allude to Billy!Shazam. You shouldnt be pairing BA with Superman before his OG rival.

Honestly, if Dwayne really wanted Henry Cavill's Superman back why didn't he campaign to let him have Hawkman's role in the movie? At least the conflict over their different ideologies would've made sense, instead of Hawkman (an alien from a war like planet mind you) being like "we don't kill!". And if Hawkman really feels that way, why hasn't he gone after Amanda Waller instead of doing her bidding?

And is it just me or was Atom Smasher just discount MCU Scott Lang/Ant-Man. A goofy dork who turns giant.

He did campaign the entire time and was told no until the new bosses took over and all they could do is a cameo.

So just saw it. It was not good.
I, mean, it was fun, and had some fun action scenes, but was tremendously uninspired.

Pierce Brosnan was quite good, in spite of the script.

This is the most Marvel like DC movie so far, and its not even a good attempt at it.

Agreed got halfway thru, before got bored. Have to give it another try later. I know they had to include a backstory, but just didn't care for the character. They needed to spend more money on the script rater than the f/x lol. Action & visual effects were good. The Rock usually makes a good movie, great, and a bad movie, ok & i think this movie is just okay.

I enjoyed this movie while fully acknowledging that it wasn’t great. The highlights:
- Justice Society (loved PB and AH in particular)
- action and visuals

The bad:
- well…everything else. Story was pretty generic, and there were a number of head scratching moments laced throughout.
- shoutout to “Josh Peck’s illegitimate son” (as I saw him described on Reddit). His character was excruciatingly annoying.

Overall it was a fun but forgettable movie. I hoped for more after it sat in development hell for 15 years.

He shoulda been a straight up villain.
No kid, no intergang. Just him killing and the JSA sent in to stop him.
Basic stuff, but it woulda been better than what we got.

Yeah, the kid character was terrible. I hate it when superhero movies always set up this dumb kid sidekick/audience surrogate that's so freaking annoying.

That's typically a studio mandate. Lord know Disney forces it on every sub-franchise they're spitting out now.

Regardless, man The Rock is "King Cope" right now and his ego has never been more on display. Watching him sit there and pretend that movie was some grand effort 15 years in the making is pathetic. Nobody looked at the screenplay treatment and thought "We're changing the CBM game!" - not even him. Just sleazy all-around and I'm glad the "Everyone lick the Rock's bunghole" campaign is finally over.

I am surprised the hate for this Movie, I just got around to watching it and was pleasantly surprised. Grant you I am a sucker for more action less plot(or at least a nice simple plot)

I’m very late to this party, but just got round to watching it.
I liked it! There, I said it.
Good enough for me as a stand-alone film, but also equally as good as a jumping off point for more films.
THAT cameo was good too - suffered from low quality cinema leaks imo.
They should have seen this through - could have easily ended up in the ‘Else-worlds’ section of the new DCU.

I enjoyed it a bit less watching it at home I must admit. I think it needed a little bit more substance in there. And cut the kid character who was poorly acted.

I'm still very confused why so many people online hate The Rock now due to this movie.
Sure he has an ego like a majority of stars have. But you'd think he's doing some MeToo level stuff with the way people are acting

So i, finally, watched "Black Adam" and... It was a huge disappointment. And FYI i came in with a low expectation to begin with after all the bad press and review the movie got. I mean like... Really? It was so outdated, had no real substance. Didn't made a lot of sense and... Well it was bad. I'm not sure i'll even give the movie a 3/10.
