Superman & Lois General News & Discussion Thread (TAG SPOILERS!)

It just gives me pause when the CW Exec said "we love it creatively, it does well in broadcasts, but it's expensive and doesnt make us money"

That's the part that really hurts.

Which is funny because it isn't really EXPENSIVE by regular tv standards. The fact that Gotham Knights is the cheapest DC show in CW history says a lot. Arrowverse was always working on a dollar tree budget.

If Superman and Lois go to HBO Max and CW renews Gotham Knights, it'd be a win-win for everyone.

What would Superman & Lois look like under HBO Max if they pick it up:

-Moving production from one place to another?

-Setting the series from Smallville to Metropolis?

-Possible budget increase and cast changes?

-Keeping the cinematic tone or changing it?

-Bringing in Superman villains and guest-heroes?

Max isn't going to change a thing as they want to continue to save money and if the cheapness works...why change it?

When the cosplay version's better than the real thing....

Shows how good the current suit could look if they just ditched that OTT muscle shading and shined up the \S/. That is a near-perfect Superman suit, imo.

Even the belt looks like a huge improvement over the real one. If the designer added slimmer boots as well, then you pretty much have the perfect costume for Tyler's Superman.

It may be more expensive, but man, looking at the trailers for the new CW shows, this show will fit in a whole lot more than Gotham Knights.

They just released the description for Episode 12: "Injustice".

MICHAEL CUDLITZ “THE WALKING DEAD” GUEST STARS – Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) and Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) clash with Jordan (Alex Garfin) over his carelessness around using his powers in public, while Jonathan (Michael Bishop) struggles with Kyle’s (Erik Valdez) change in behavior at the firehouse. Meanwhile, Sarah (Inde Navarrette) grows frustrated with Lana (Emmanuelle Chriqui) after she accidentally makes things more complicated with Jordan. And finally, after seventeen years behind bars, Lex Luthor (guest star Michael Cudlitz “The Walking Dead”) set to be released from prison. Sudz Sutherland directed the episode written by Michael Narducci (#312). Original airdate 6/20/2023. Every episode of SUPERMAN & LOIS will be available to stream on The CW App and CWTV.com the day after broadcast for free and without a subscription, log-in or authentication required.

If it ain’t got trunks, it ain’t complete. :D

It's going to really suck if this show ends with Tyler's Superman never interacting with Michael's Lex. He already missed out in having any interactions with Jon's Lex in Crisis and Supergirl.

I never understood why that didn't happen. You had the Superman and Lex Luthor of this Earth right there. Even just a single interaction during Crisis would've been nice. When Clark and J'onn had that first, frosty exchange in Supergirl Season 2, we immediately knew they had some history.

I wonder if this Lex will be based on the version from the current comics, where he and Superman work together he's in jail. I would to see SuperCorp make its live-action debut.

It's both weird and annoying that we haven't received some type of official announcement regarding the show's future.

IThose two working from the jail would be fine by me. :)

Damn I'm sad this season is already about to come to an end, but I'm excited asf for these last two episodes, especially seeing who's finally appearing in the next episode and the tease at the end of this week's episode.

June 20th can't get here soon enough.

The image of Clark, Lois, and Jimmy has strong Star Trek: Lower Decks vibes.
Whoa, I was only thinking about the art style, but My Adventures with Superman has Jack Quaid as the voice of Clark?
