One element that I don’t think Raimi gets enough credit for is the sound design for his films. Watching the movie tonight and last night it was the first time I realized that the Goblin’s voice comes out of different channels in the surround sound when he’s talking to Norman.

Completely agree with you on this. This sequence is good fun. Unfortunately nothing else in the next two hours of this film reaches these levels.

I don’t think the window displays would’ve still been up, but the inflatable Spider-Man should’ve still been there. I also came across this picture which looks to be taken around December 2007 and the giant Spider-Man is still in the lobby.
