The Dark Knight Rises, Batman v Superman, Age Of Ultron and Civil War all cost around the $450M once you factor in marketing and distribution costs. And solos like Man of Steel and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 ended up in the same ballpark budget wise.

1B for two movies that are supposed to be the culmination of the MCU isn't far fetched (especially given the nex tech involved).

That's stupid. They need to get Donnie Yen to have a bit part as a newspaper vendor who has a nice long chat with Thor, which will be cut from the U.S. release but kept in the Chinese cut.
