If you had a chance to re-cast the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) from scratch which actors would you use for the following roles:

Is this thread about recasting at a later point to replace the previous actors in the same universe? Or who you'd have cast if you started the MCU? I'm not a fan of recasts, but I'd be interested to see if someon could convince me a recast that would work. My boring, uninspired choice for Thor for this would be:

Simply because I could buy him as the same guy. (But I'm pretty sure Liam wouldn't do that, as he already shows he dislikes being in his brother's shadow, and this would just cause more comparisons.)

Surprisingly, I think the one major character that would be really easy to recast would be Loki, as Loki has been a elderly, a child, male, female, humanoid/Asgardian and non-humanoid. They could cast pretty much anyone who can play it well.

If this is about what you´d do if you started the MCU, I agree this definitely belongs in the other thread

All the actors seem so perfect at this point, I honestly don't know how I would recast. Maybe Harry shum Jnr as iron fist? That's all really. Maybe we could recast in another decade when there's a fresh young crop of actors that pop up on the radar?

Marisa Tomei will do just fine as Aunt May but I'll be damned if Catherine Keener didn't nail the look in "Show Me A Hero".

I definitely could see James Franco as Tony Stark/Iron Man but my pick for Steve Rogers/Captain America would be Chris Pine but for Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow I would definitely stick with Scarlett Johansson

For Clint Barton/Hawkeye I definitely would go with Garrett Hedlund and for Thor I definitely would agree with you on Charlie Hunnam

Jamie Foxx as Rhodey I definitely can agree with and for the Maximoff twins Scarlet Witch I would go with Emma Watson and for Quicksilver I would go with Tom Felton

For Sam Wilson/Falcon I agree with your choice of Michael B Jordan and for T'Challa/Black Panther I would stick with Chadwick Boseman

Jason Bateman is perfect as Scott Lang/Ant Man and for Bruce Banner/Hulk I definitely would go with Barry Pepper

Recasting the MCU is tough, because they've literally cast everyone perfectly.

I've never seen this from any film series or any studio.

Even the Netflix MCU is brilliantly cast.
