I like AOD,but Evil Dead 2 is the best of the trilogy. AOD is fun,but it's way too goofy and comedic. It was such a departure from the previous movies. ED2 had it's share of campy and funny moments,but at it's heart is still a horror film with alot of creepy deadites and scary moments. In ED2 Ash was frightened and terrified by what he saw and experienced,but by the end he turned into a kick @ss hero,but I felt like in AOD he was more a catchphrase spitting comic book type character. Like I said,it's a fun movie,but ED2 is by far the best.
