two lines of horizontal dots along the top of my tv.

hey guys would like to know how to fix this. got a sony hdtv, had it for about 5 years now, but today out of freakin nowhere, theres two horizontal dotted lines that run across the top of my tv screen almost all the way off, and its very annoying. i see it when i watch tv or play video games. its pissing me off. i have no clue how to make them dissapear, so help would be appreciated. will put pics up if necessary.

answer please we're in a recession i dont wanna buy a new tv!!

It's probably dead pixels so I wouldn't know how you could fix the problem other than replacing your tv with a new one or keep watching your old one the way it is. Have you tried unhooking all the extra electronics you have hooked into your tv to see if that helps, maybe you could try reseting your tv?
